Dion?!" My heart beats faster for a completely different reason.
I am beyond happy it is him instead of one of those people.
He's breathing so hard, and he's sweating with dirt on his body and I'm left wondering exactly what is going on out there.
"Shhh, they might hear you?" He quickly looks around and for the first time in my years of age I see the fear in Dion's eyes and that is enough to convince me that we're truly in trouble but why would we be under attack? We have done nothing wrong and I think there's a very big misunderstanding somewhere.
"Over this noise?" The explosive sounds and the occasional trembling of the castle walls are enough to drown out my voice.
"Come on we don't have time, we have to leave now." He helps me out from under the food table.
