Ramier raised his hand to stop his servants who were lurking in the dark. They were all watching the woman in front of them who was looking left and right around the hall as if she was a burglar.
One of the servants wanted to approach the figure but she was stopped by her superior. The head court lady shook her head to the servant, warning her of what she was planning to do. They couldn't bear to disobey the emperor or they were to be thrown to the dungeons.
Seeing her entering one of the pathways, he signalled his servants to go back to their quarters. He would handle this himself. His red eyes glowed in the dark. He was just hidden in the shadows and quickly followed Ashley to where she was headed.
The head court lady sighed and frowned.
How troublesome!
She turned to look at her subordinated before telling them to go back to their rooms. When they were already dispersing, she glanced back to where his Highness was standing minutes ago. Her frown grew deeper.
