A/N: Sorry for the late update. I had a small accident and had to spend the night in the hospital. As a compensation, I would be publishing 2 chapters today

Before the fight began, Axel had called out his Magikarp cause he wanted it to observe the battle. The other 3 kids were mesmerized by looking at it. Axel's Magikarp was bigger than a normal Magikarp. A normal Magikarp was around 3 feet tall but his Magikarp was at least 5 feet tall.
"How is this Magikarp so big?", asked Lyra
"His Beedrill also has an abnormal size. Does he use some training methods to achieve it? Is this a training method of the Venu family?", asked Ryker.
"From what I know, the Venu family must not have these kinds of methods", replied Lorelai. She was a member of the league so she was well-versed in the powers of starter families. But the Venu family had hidden for a long period of time. Had they come up with a new method of training? Everyone was thinking the same thing.
[Ding! A special quest has been generated.
A powerful opponent is challenging you. Rewards will be given if the host wins the battle
Rewards: Unknown]
Axel was looking at this message. It had been a long time since he had received any special quest. The last time was on Venu family. His mind started to think about the possibilities of it. 'Why did the quest not appear when he was battling Ryker or even Oak? Was this cause Lance would a future Champion? But Oak is a Pokemon master.' He thought.
The system worked in mysterious ways. He didn't give it much thought and started to measure his opponent. As per the game, Lance had caught the Red Gyarados much later. But in real life, it was not so. Does this mean that the events of games and anime would not match with real life in the future too?
Thinking about all these things, he activated his aura to observe how powerful Gyarados was.
Yes, for the past month, he had only meditated and practiced his 'Aura sense'. Just yesterday, his 'Aura Sense' had leveled up to 10 and now, he could vaguely sense the amount of infinity energy inside a Pokemon. He could only sense these energies up to a rare ranked Pokemon and it was not even perfect. But it was still progressing. While observing Gyarados, he realized that the Gyarados were weaker than his Beedrill so he felt relaxed. But the battle would not be determined only by this aspect.

Finally, the explorer shouted, "Let the battle begin!!"
"Beedrill, use 'agility'"
"Gyarados, use 'Flamethrower'"
Beedrill didn't have any time to use agility and dodged the attack and was also successful to use 'agility' one time. The 'Flamethrower' of Gyarados had been avoided.
Lance had noticed how Axel used a status move first in the battle with Ryker and it also helped him in the battle. He had suspected that Axel would do the same with Beedrill, so he told Gyarados to use 'Flamethrower' to disrupt Beedrill but he was unsuccessful.
However, Lance didn't know that he was successful. Beedrill was fast and it was faster than Gyarados. If it had not used 'Flamethrower', Beedrill would have been able to use 'agility' 2 times but now it was only limited to 1 time. Axel also realized his mistake. Normally, in any Pokemon battle, he would instruct his Pokemon to use the status move to be ahead of the game but didn't think that someone would notice it and make a counter.
Taking the advantage of 'Flamethrower', Gyarados was also able to use 'Dragon dance' which boosted its attack and speed. Since Beedrill was fast it was able to use 'Sword dance' to increase its attack and speed too.
Gyarados had a weakness. It had high Attack power but hardly had any moves that would use physical attack. Most of its attack was special type. But almost all of the Beedrill attack was also physical type so, Beedrill was the worst match for Gyarados. However, Axel choose Beedrill cause he wanted to push Beedrill for its next evolution.
"Gyarados use 'Dig'" shouted Lance. Gyarados dug the hole and Axel told Beedrill to fly higher but Axel miscalculated Gyarado's length.
It was so big that it was able to reach Beedrill and was ready to use 'Bite'
At that moment Axel knew that Beedrill would not be able to dodge the attack so,
"Beedrill, use 'Poison jab'"
Both of the moves clashed but since Beedrill was not fully prepared Gyarados won and was able to use 'Bite'. Since Gyarados was also affected by poison it threw Beedrill's body to the ground.
However, Beedrill was fast to recover from it and Axel told Beedrill to use 'Calm mind'. I was only able to use it one time but it's Sp. Def was increased to tackle Gyarados another 'Flamethrower' which it used right after.
Beedrill dodged the attack. Axel said, "Beedrill, Electro web, and then use 'String Shot'"
'Electro web' was not mastered well but since Gyarados is a water-type Pokemon it had some effect on it. The 'Electro web' trapped it for some time and when it was finally able to release from it, 'String Shot' wrapped in its mouth. Gyarados took around 3 seconds to get away from it.
In battle, even 1 second would make a difference. 3 seconds was ample time for Beedrill to attack.
"Beedrill, use 'Calm mind' and start attacking with 'Drill run' and 'Poison Jab'" said Axel at a fast pace.
'Calm mind' was to increase its Sp. Def again. He didn't know how much time the battle would extend so it was for safety purposes. 'Poison jab' was used as Beedrill had already used it on Gyarados and he was confident that Gyarados would be poisoned by using it again. 'Drill run' was Beedrill's finishing move.
Beedrill was able to use 2 'Poison Jabs' and 1 'Drill run'. 'Drill run' took time to be used so Axel instructed Beedrill to only use it once.
Gyarados took all the hits and it was slammed down into the ground. It was difficult to say whether it would stand up again. With extreme difficulty, it stood up but everyone knew that Axel was going to win the battle. And it happened. After a couple of 'Electro web' and a 'Drill run', that massive size of a Pokemon fell down with a loud thud.
The game was over and Beedrill had won the fight.
