Chapter 12 - A silver book and sad dreams

Ayla was tried and a bit sad, she really wanted to see the outside world but Atlas said she should wait till her control over her magic and

Mana was good enough. She didn't want to destroy something or kill someone without a care in the world because she was not in control of herself.

And as time passed she kept thinking about the girl she had met whose name was Akki.

She had just met her and they didn't exactly have a small talk during that time, but she felt unsure her feelings for some reason. She felt somewhat save near her, but she also felt a feeling of needing being on guard whenever she would see her would be a good idea, but the weirdest feeling she was feeling was longing??

She didn't quite understand it, but her mind started to get more blank as Time when on, and she fell asleep without ending her thoughts.

When atlas was done chatting with Lucille, he went to check on Ayla to see if she had fallen asleep. He went into her room, which was full of books, the books were lying down in stacks randomly across the room. Her room had white walls, but one wall was black with a full moon and clouds around it, the stars were not shining as bright as the moon.

The room was simple but full of personality, a bed, a desk, three big bookshelves, the space was completely used up, but it looked like she had managed to put a few more book in the shelves.

There was also a lot of paintbrushes, pencils and a lot of paint. She had really made a mess, but it had a warm feeling to it, so he didn't mind it, as long as he could walk in and out of the room.

He walked over to her bed, to see Ayla sleeping peacefully, yet he could see a tear ready to fall from her eye. He sighed, this wasn't the first time for her to cry silently in her sleep. She did it much more when she was younger, so it became a habit for him to check on her before he went to sleep himself.

"No! please!"

"Please! don't leave me!!"

"MOM!! DAD!!" Ayla was screaming, she saw herself being sucked down the water, unable to catch her parents hands. " MOM!! DAD!!! I am sorry!! please forgive me!!" She screamed, with tears running down her eyes.

"MOM!!" She cried and screamed herself awake. " I-I... I am sorry!!" She cried, she hadn't had that dream for a long time, but it was just as real as usual. She pulled her legs up to her stomach and held her arms around herself.

She missed her parents, she missed her home, but this was her new home, and she really needed to accept it, but it was too hard for her. She cried out and went out of her room. She tiptoed to the library. She wanted to read some books, to forget about her dream.

She sighed, she really needed to forget about her mom and dad. She had a new life now, and she wanted to get over her own death, she wanted to look herself in the eyes and say; " I am not Elise, my name is Ayla" But she could just not do it.

She was about to take one of her favourite books down from the bookshelf when she saw a faint light in the corner of her eyesight, she turned around, and took a step closer to the light. The light immediately glowed stronger. She felt drawn to the light. She took two more steps closer, and two became five, and five became ten. She stopped when the light was so close, that she could feel its warmth.

She slowly reached her hand out, and the light embraced her, and her sight became white. The next moment the light was gone, and she stood alone in the library. she looked down and saw a book in her hand. The book looked old, it was silver, and in the middle of the book cover was written in old curved handwriting, Ayla.

That was her name, the handwriting was old, so the book couldn't be new. She looked around the library, she was alone. She slowly opened the book, she was too curious to not open the book. She turned to the first page, the handwriting was the same, she slowly read the words.

" Dear child of the beautiful moon."

" You are both a shadow and a light."

" You can shine, but not without the sun, and not without the star"

" You need the sun and the star and they need you"

" The sun is gentle, yet cruel, like a fairy but a demon, she is ready to save a life and ready to take one"

" the star is a mystery, caring and sly, and she is always ready to battle an eye"

" find them, and find your other half, Ayla"

" find him"

Find who? Who was she supposed to find?? Who is the star, and who is the sun?? And who is him??

Ayla turned to see the next page but it was blank, she turned the next page, it was blank too. The other pages were blank, there was only written on the first page.

She looked at the clock while she was wondering what was meant with her other half...

As far as she knew she didn't have an other half.

She froze when she saw the clock, it was five AM.

Dawn was here.
