Nicolas stood in front of a big gate and there was a row of people, Nicolas has noticed that there is an entry fee and the entry fee is 5 copper coins.
Nicolas rummaged through his pockets and found 1 gold coin, 3 silver coins, and 5 copper coins.
He returned 1 gold coin and 3 silver coins in his pocket. He now only held 5 copper coins in his hands.
"Five coppers." Said guard.
Nicolas nodded and gave him five copper coins.
Guard briefly inspected Nicolas's face, probably to see if he is a criminal and after confirming that Nicolas is not a criminal guard allowed him to enter.
And when he entered he was momentarily shocked. There were at least a million people on the street and this was only a low-class shopping center. In the world where he is from, only the capitals would have this many people on the streets but per previous body owner memories, this is only a remote city in a remote kingdom in a remote continent.
The Dragon-Phoenix world is divided into three parts: Outer Wasteland, 4 continents (the Southern Continent, the Western Continent, the Northern Continent, and the Eastern Continent), and the Central Continent.
And Nicolas was now in a remote city in a Blaze Kingdom of a Outer Wasteland.
But he quickly recovered from the shock and thought.
'Well it seems that I'm in the shopping district of the lower-class, I can as well try my luck and try to search for a Innate Stone here!"
He looked around the shopping district for and hour or two until he finally found something that look like Innate Stone at the stall that looked like a tornado passed through it.
Nicolas approached the stall and asked.
"How much for this stone." Said Nicolas while pointing at Innate Stone.
"Young man , it seems that you have a really good eye, this stone when made into medicine can rapidly heal wounds and amp-"
"Cut the crap, I just asked how much is that stone." glared Nicolas at the shopkeeper fiercely every second here is one second of Emily and his family struggling so he had no time for bullshit.
*gulp*
That fierce look made shopkeeper involuntary gulp.
That is not the look that a young man like him should have. Thought a shopkeeper.
Shopkeeper dared not to look down on this young man, before he indeed had looked a bit down on this young man because his shirt had a big hole on the part which covers the stomach.
"3 silvers." Said shopkeeper quietly but loud enough for Nicolas to hear.
In return, Nicolas just glared at the shopkeeper, he knew a little bit about merchants, they would at first give you a bigger price than the actual price, and when they see that you are not falling into their trick they would give you the actual price of the item.
When he saw that the young man isn't answering he said.
"The lowest price I can give you is 1 silver my lord." The shopkeeper subconsciously called Nicolas 'my lord' because he was afraid of Nicolas's gaze.
"Deal!" Said Nicolas while throwing a silver coin at the shopkeeper.
"Here is your stone sir, please visit us again."
Said shopkeeper but what he actually thought was 'Please never come again'.
Nicolas just took the stone and left without saying a word to the shopkeeper.
'Okay, it's time to find a hotel now.'
