Chereads / Mafia's Little Angel : Married to the Cold-Blooded Devil / Chapter 18 - The Beginning of a Threat

Chapter 18 - The Beginning of a Threat

Furiously David hit the punching bag in front of him. At exactly four in the morning, David was in the gym where he used to practice mixed martial arts--commonly abbreviated as MMA--alone.

Several combinations of punches and kicks were thrown by David at the innocent punching bag until a powder that looked like yellow sand oozed out of the punching bag.

David replaced the punching bag, removed it from the hook and put in a new one.

He's already smashed four punches. Now he was going to beat the fifth puncher to death.

He really couldn't contain his anger. They had only been married for two days and it was their first honeymoon, but something was already threatening the safety of his beloved wife.

It took David a long time to calm Angeline down so that the girl could fall asleep in the apartment before he left.

David's tears escaped his eyes without realizing it. Still beating the innocent punching bag in front of him blindly. In his mind, he was afraid that he could not give Angeline the beautiful and serene life she deserved. Far from the threat of murder that can arise at any time.

David also threw two hard punches before landing a side kick that was too brutal which destroyed the fifth bag.

David also stopped his tantrum because this time the hook of the bag was also destroyed, unable to withstand David's angry blows anymore.

David stood still, closed his eyes as he tried to catch his breath that was racing at a frantic pace.

He is still trying to remember who the woman who has a black rose tattoo on her back. And his name even written under that black rose tattoo.

David got goosebumps at the thought of everything related to that mysterious woman. From the first time she broke into the apartment without being detected by the security alarm and sprinkled black rose petals on his bed. Lastly, she sent someone of the many names on David's revenge list to him.

Did that woman know about David's planned revenge on the people who betrayed her adoptive father, Hendrick Brasco?

Ain't no way she knew about that.

David never told anyone about his revenge plan to anyone.

All this time he was always moving on his own like a lonely wolf.

Since that incident of betrayal, David never trusted everyone. It's not that he's become some sort of insecure hermit, but his method of trusting others is a hundred and eighty degrees different from before.

At first David always trusted people completely. But now David is no longer such a naive creature. David would find out everything about that person down to the roots before starting to believe him.

David simply couldn't accept and trust anyone so easily, and allowed his trust to be betrayed so easily again.

And now, David is getting frustrated. It felt like he wanted to go back to hitting a few more innocent punching bags if his cell phone didn't ring.

David walked to the corner of the room where he put his cell phone on the bench.

Angeline's name appeared on David's cellphone screen. Without thinking, David shifted the green icon and put his cellphone screen to his ear.

"Where are you?" asked Angeline, her hoarse voice indicating that the girl had just woken up from a deep sleep.

"At the gym, did something happen?"

"No. I just couldn't find you anywhere."

David breathed a sigh of relief. "Go back to sleep, I'll be home soon."

"I'll just wait for you to come home." Angeline replied before the girl yawned and fell back asleep. David smiled, the girl said earlier that she would wait for David to come home, and now she's asleep.

David feels very lucky to have such an adorable wife like Angeline.

Even though the girl was already nineteen years old, sometimes she acted too cute. Angeline is the complete package for David. She can be a good wife, a younger sibling who can be pampered, and also a friend to share stories with, thereby reducing the burden on David's mind even a little.

On the other hand, a woman sits on a sofa in a room in a building that seems to have been abandoned for a long time.

Her index and middle fingers sandwiched a stick of nicotine that she sucked with her lips, slowly blowing the smoke of pleasure into the air.

A man entered through the only door that was in the room.

"You're the first to arrive, Mr. Isaac Dominic."

Name: Isaac Dominic

Title: Formerly known as the main supplier of weapons to the mafia syndicate Hendrick Brasco, the man who taught David how to think calmly under pressure, and introduced him to a wide variety of weapons. Now he controls the illegal arms trade for the West Coast.

Specialties: A strategist and a person who is always on the move behind the scenes.

Status: One of three people on the top list of David Stockholm's targets for revenge.

Isaac did not return the woman's flattery. He sat in one of the three comfortable chairs prepared by the woman who was still enjoying her cigarette in the room.

Before long, someone entered from that door. A well-built person about two and a half meters tall who had a very intimidating expression on his face. His sharp jawline with a sharp cut on his cheek made anyone dare not look for a case with him.

"You are second, Mr. Benedict Rivaro."

Name: Benedict Rivaro

Title: Formerly known as the war general and right-hand man of Hendrick Brasco. The one who stands at the forefront of every battle. He is the one who taught David to fight barehanded. He was currently traveling all over the country, looking for strong people to be recruited to become his subordinates.

Specialties: Close combat.

Status: One of three people on the top list of David Stockholm's targets for revenge.

The man also did not reply to the words of the woman and chose to sit next to Isaac Dominic.

"That leaves one more person." said the woman after blowing the nicotine fumes through her respiratory tract.

It didn't take long until the last person she was waiting for arrived.

"At last you came, the Mysterious One who was always moving alone. Mr. Steve Stiffler."

Name: Steve Stiffler

Title: Formerly dubbed the eye of Hendrick Brasco, the ace of all battles. The one who taught David how to handle a gun. Now he is nicknamed the Angel of Death from the Underworld. Mastering guerrilla tactics, making him the hardest person to track in the world.

Specialties: Close, medium and long range combat. Has a firearm accuracy equivalent to David.

Status: The last person of three people on the top list of David Stockholm's targets for revenge.

Now the three men who are David's target are sitting in front of a woman who has just turned her nicotine sticks into an ashtray shaped like a human skull.

"All right, since you've all gathered, let's get to the point. I want you to join me."

Nobody would have thought that a woman would dare to speak like that to the three great former generals of the legendary mafia syndicate Hendrick Brasco. However, the three people with terrifying achievements said nothing to refuse the woman's invitation.

Their silence seemed to agree with the invitation, making the woman smile widely.

"You all must know who the main target of this plan is. My dear ex-lover, the one who has the greatest grudge against the three of you. And after this--"

The woman smiled crookedly while giving a sharp gaze that could make anyone who saw it would feel scared. The three former great generals of the legendary mafia syndicate Hendrick Brasco that sat in front of her were no exception.

"We'll start having some fun."
