"Where did you come from?" asked Claire when she saw her grandfather had returned. Gerald smiled and stroked Claire's hair.
"Just straighten a few things," Arjoona looks averted his face, not wanting to look at anyone.
"I gathered you here because I have something to talk about," everyone listened to Gerald's words. Arjoona chose to stand slightly behind Gerald.
"I want to tell you something, especially Claire, that Claire will get married next week to Arjoona Harristian," Gerald said firmly. Claire, Keith, and especially Louis were surprised to open their mouths. Meanwhile, Arjoona just closed his eyes and looked away. Arjoona didn't know it would be that fast. Gerald didn't tell him that the time was next week.
"But Mr. Winthrop, me and Claire ... you know that we are dating, right?" Said Louis disagreed in a relatively high voice. Gerald glared, annoyed at Louis, who instead opposed.
"You guys are just dating and not married, so you just need to break up" Louis looked incredulously, and he shook his head.
"it's not possible" Claire looked like she was about to cry. Meanwhile, Keith glanced over Arjoona with an incomprehensible gaze.
"I don't need anyone's consent, Claire's marriage decision I am in charge, so this is just a notification." Claire shook her head and started to shed tears. Louis, who was getting angry, looked at Arjoona with hostility. He did not create a good relationship with Arjoona, and now it will worsen because it turns out that Arjoona was the one that Claire's grandfather had arranged for his girlfriend.
After being unable to do anything about the situation, Louis promptly left without saying anything while clenching his fists. Claire, who saw Louis go, was about to grab his hand, but Gerald held Claire's arm first.
"Louis ..." Claire called half crying.
"Just let him."
"But Grandpa?"
"Claire, don't bicker with me!" Claire was really crying. Arjoona is in a difficult position. He is trapped in the conflict of another family. Keith was still standing and trying to be casual. He then turned to Arjoona and smiled faintly.
"Congratulations, Mr. Harristian, I hope Mr. Winthrop's choice is correct," said Keith half-mocking, smiling sarcastically and walking away.
"Dad .." Claire said, crying, but as soon as she saw Arjoona behind her grandfather, she was silent. She immediately went berserk.
"You coward, why are you silent, hah!" Claire snapped at Arjoona. Gerald blocked Claire, who looked like she was about to attack Joona.
"Claire, be polite. He is your future husband!" Arjoona looked away when hearing the words of future husband Claire Winthrop out of Gerald's mouth.
"No, I don't want to marry him, I'd rather die!" shouted Claire irritably and half sobbed.
"what are you talking about?"
"You, Arjoona, you just keep quiet, we already agreed not to undergo this marriage. Why now you even agree!" Claire was still about to attack and pointed at Joona angrily. Arjoona was silent because he thought there was no point in dealing with an angry woman. She would not hear any explanation.
"Claire, listen to me. You will marry Arjoona no matter what." Claire still shook her head and begged.
"Please grandpa, I love Louis, I just want to marry him, not with another guy" Gerald shook his head.
"one day you'll thank me for this, now go back to your room," Claire was so annoyed that she jerked her arm and walked away. Gerald just sighed and shook his head. He then turned to Joona behind him.
"Thank you, Arjoona, now I owe you a debt of gratitude," Arjoona frowned.
"Why do you believe I will protect her?" Gerald smiled
"because you are a genuine gentleman," Gerald replied briefly.
'and because I have to atone for my son's sins to you,' thought Gerald on his head. Arjoona was silent and did not give any response. Gerald also told Arjoona to return to his work afterward.
WINTHROP ELECTRONICS WAREHOUSE PARKING
"you bastard, you dare try to take my girl!" shouted Louis, suddenly attacking Arjoona in the car park when Joona was about to go home. He was pulled and then given a punch on his face so that Joona fell backward. Louis punched pretty hard, Joona's lips were bleeding.
"Stay away from my girl!" he shouted menacingly. Some people started to gather and watch. Arjoona, realizing that this news should not be spread, tries to get up and wants to face Louis so that he doesn't talk much. But Louis again attacked him.
"Here, face me manly, don't be a sissy!" he taunted him again and was about to attack, this time Joona was more aware he just dodged the hit without responding.
"I have nothing to do with you!" Arjoona replied, half screaming.
"Obviously, this is my business, you bastard!" cursed Louis, further attacking Arjoona. Not just silent, he was beaten, Arjoona finally retaliated. David then came running and broke up the two of them. Louis himself was eventually held by security officers.
"Enough, Joona ... please don't fight!" said David, half hugging Arjoona from the front. Arjoona was already angry with what Louis did to him.
"I have nothing to do with you, if you want to protest, you talk to Gerald Winthrop yourself, why are you coming to attack me!" shouted Arjoona, still held by Louis.
"I'll kill you if you dare to take mine!" Joona's eyes widened
"oh, I'm not afraid of you," Joona replied defiantly. The two of them were still like bulls about to fight when Claire came and embraced Louis's arm so as not to continue the fight.
"Louis, please don't make a fuss, please!" said Claire begging Louis. Louis, who was still gasping, finally jerked the security guard's grip on him. He glanced at Claire before threatening Joona again with hardened jaws.
"We are not done yet!" Louis threatened, pointing to Joona, who was still in David's. He immediately pulled Claire's hand from the parking lot. Arjoona, who saw his future wife being towed by another man, just snorted. He broke away from David's grip and felt his bleeding lip.
"Are you okay?" asked David with a worried face. He was confused by what happened to Arjoona, actually. Arjoona just nodded his head and then walked to take his backpack on the ground and headed for the car. Some workers who had previously witnessed the fight could only look at the silent Joona getting into his car. David tried to catch up and ask questions.
"What was the problem?"
