Chapter 44 - a little downtime

As the four stepped into the crowded hall, Adam couldn't help but squint at what he saw; the site of the festival was truly massive, in every sense of the word. They had used the largest parade ground in the capital ship and the lights beaming down from above were almost blinding. The only reprieve Adam could see from the intense brightness were the aerial displays. Many of them were truly beautiful, using machines and materials Adam couldn't even recognise to dazzle everyone who looked up at them.

"So this is the difference between a residential planet's festival and a high class one," he murmured to himself, looking back down to see the stalls that packed the area. They were separated wide enough that a group of aliens could move past side by side, even with one or two of them being large; however the stalls seemed like they were crammed into every space possible.

"What planet did you live on before this? Festivals this grand aren't anything special."
