I lay my body on the carpet in the garden around my house. I put a laptop that contains hundreds or even thousands of words which I compose into a story. Trying to get rid of feeling tired and bored in this body for a moment. I looked at the blue sky covered in clouds. I closed my eyes and felt the gust of wind that hit every inch of my face. Raindrops touched me with every drop of water that fell from the sky. How calm it is in an atmosphere like this. The feeling of fatigue disappeared instantly. Make myself don't want to move from this place.
The rain was getting heavier. The water droplets drenched this face and body. The sound of raindrops adorned my two senses of hearing. I enjoy every moment of this getting deeper and deeper into the realm of my imagination. I rubbed a smile on my lips as a form of my happiness. Ah, I really don't need to have a hunk of diamonds to feel happy. Just like this is enough for me.
I don't know how long I've spent here quietly. But what I know is that I really like this moment.
"cakk cakk cakk ..."
I heard the sound of footsteps along with the sound of anklets. The longer the sound became louder and the rhythm faster. I heard that voice with my eyes still closed. Not long after that, I heard the voice of a girl who laughed crisply. Running there and here accompanied by the sound of anklets shouting to each other made the atmosphere even more crowded.
I've never encountered anything like this before. The thing that made my imaginary mind increasingly dominate my real life. Everything feels real. Maybe this is an effect because I often make stories that have to make me hone my imaginary realm in order to make a memorable story. Yes, maybe like that.
"cakk cakk cakk ...."
The voice sounded so real. Make me even more curious and want to see it even more. I moved from its original position and opened my eyes slowly. I looked around me. The falling rain made the atmosphere around me wet and cool. The aroma of petrichor was able to be smelled by my sense of smell. Then I rolled my eyes to find the girl's laughter. However, there was nothing in front of me. When I turned around I heard the laughter again, but there was nothing there. I was increasingly intrigued by him. I have to find the source of the sound.
"cakk cakk cakk .."
"hey who are you ???"
Not the answer I got, but a gentle gust of wind that hit my face. Suddenly a leaf touched my face. I took the leaf and I saw it with my eyes. I was confused. I don't know where it came from why a maple leaf suddenly touched my face. Aren't maple leaves only in Belgium? Are these leaves carried by the wind? If it really was being carried away by the wind how come this far? Doesn't that sound strange. But never mind, it doesn't matter because now I have to find a girl with that anklet.
I sharpened my sense of sight to explore the area around the park, but I found nothing there.
"ah shitt .."
"cakk cakk cakk .."
Somehow the rhythm of the anklet sound was getting faster and louder. With the same position, I tried to trace the sound again. But again nothing I got. Suddenly a smooth white hand touched my right shoulder. The hand slipped from my shoulder when I touched it and tried to hold it. I turned my body to see the girl's face but instead she ran away trying to get away from me.
Standing without moving position for an inch I looked at the maple leaf that had touched my face. I observe the leaf in detail. Confusion still enveloped me. Until finally a hand touched me and tried to wrap his hand around my stomach. I found the girl hugging my body from behind. Warmth suddenly came over to me. I never thought that the hug made me comfortable and didn't want to change positions at all. The hug is like a symbol of ownership. Feels tight but also makes the heart thrash unbearable. It feels like my eyes can't wait to see who the owner of this comfortable hug is.
The cool raindrops didn't make me cold at all. Maybe this was due to the effect of the girl's hug. Soon the girl landed her head on my shoulder. His breath made me both amused and happy. I close my eyes and enjoy every second of this moment. Really his breath makes me unbearable. And the warmth he creates from every soft touch I don't want to lose from him. I don't know what kind of feeling this is. The taste is driving me crazy.
The seconds passed so fast. The girl tried to release the warmth she gave me.
"Stay like this in 5 minutes, please." I begged the girl
no answer there, but smooth white hands wrapped around my stomach. I landed my palm on his hand. Her soft skin hugged me until it created a warmth that I haven't had for a long time. The hug that I miss. It feels like this embrace belongs to my late mother. I forget the last time I encountered something like this, maybe because I haven't felt it for a long time.
The girl hugged me tighter as if she didn't want to lose me. I also held her hand as a sign of returning from the hug she gave me. The part of her hair that stuck to my cheek made me want to inhale the owner of that hair. The aroma creates an unusual euphoria. Makes me reluctant to move from that place and want to be like this for a longer time.
Until ...
"Lintangg wake up .." the voice made me open my eyes which I had closed for a long time.
"What do you dream until you smile in your sleep?"
I'm still frozen there. Still confused by what I experienced before.
"What is wrong with you?"
The owner of the voice is Daffin Simanjuntak. He lives with me and one other friend. Having the same background makes us closer even like our own family.
"Lintang Pradiptaaaa ...
Are you sick ?? "
"hah! ?? How ?? I asked in a confused tone.
"Why are you sleeping and smiling to yourself? What are you dreaming of?" he asked with a crisp laugh.
"Am I sleeping?" I said innocently.
"No, you were cooking."
"I asked seriously, wasn't it raining?" I said in a more serious tone
"It's still cloudy, oyy ...
You're mostly hallucinations like that, "he said with a mocking laugh.
"Ahh shitt." I muttered
"uh, where do you get maple leaves?"
Maple leaf? I just realized that this leaf is in my hand.
"I .... I don't know." my left hand reflexively scratched my head which was not itchy.
"Hishh… I think you should spend less time writing stories. Because you got carried away by your own imagination, hahaa "Daffin also left me with all the confusion that was hard to digest.
I also just exhaled roughly and stared at him in disbelief. If the natural Lintang is indeed a hallucination, why does it feel so real? Is this the result of my imaginative habit of creating stories? But why is this maple leaf in my hand? Doesn't this make me feel even stranger.
The raindrops that I've been enjoying all this time, a pair of hands wrapped around my stomach turned out to be just an imagination.
I take a close look at the maple leaf. Then I found some letters lined up there. A name written on a maple leaf that I held and from nowhere. But I believe that this name is the name of the owner of the hug.
"Lavina"
