Payton POV
I'm surrounded by a white light when I hear a soft voice whisper my name, "who's there?" I shout looking around in the white light. I can't see anyone, I hear my name again, "who's there?" I shout again. This time a figure appears in the distance, I run towards it, getting closer and closer. "Payton." The figure says again as I get closer and closer to it. I close my eyes as I finally reach the figure, running straight into it, knocking it onto the ground. "Payton open your eyes." The voice softly says as it strokes a stray hair behind my ear. I open my eyes, coming face to face with Jamie. I gasp out in shock before quickly kissing his lips.
He pulls away as he try's to get us both to stand, standing in front of him I rush forward and wrap my arms around his waist, pulling him into a tight hug. "I'm so sorry my love." I say as I begin to cry into his chest. Jamie places a hand onto my head and begins to stroke it, soothing me. "It's not your fault my love." He whispers pulling me away slightly to face him. "It was." I sob harder into his chest. "Payton look at me." He says causing me to look up into his eyes. "It wasn't your fault." He honestly says looking deep into my soul.
I nod as tears fall down my face. He wipes the tears that have fallen onto my cheeks as he leans down and connects our lips together. As we kiss he mind links me, 'tell Nathan I love him too.' We break apart and he disappears saying, "good bye my love." leaving me in the bright light crying my heart out.
Nathan POV
The monitor begins to beep rapidly causing me to stand from my chair. "Nurse." I shout at the top of my lungs as I run towards Payton. The monitor flatlines and my heart jumps out my throat. 'No, no, no,' I screamed in the back of my mind as trip let out a agonisingly howl. The nurses come running in as one pushes me back down to the chair.
They begin checking the monitors, her pulse, eyes, everything. A doctor begins to perform CPR, causing me to growl at him every time he tried to blow air into her. After 20 minutes of trying he looks up at me, then at the clock. "Time of death 4.30am." He says looking down at the ground. I let out an agonising howl, "nooooooo." I scream as tears begin to run down my face. Running back over to her I grab her hand and lower my head to her ear. "Please don't leave me. Come back to me payton." I whisper as tears fall harshly down my face. I lift my head to look at her face as my tears begin to fall onto her face. I place my forehead onto hers closing my eyes.
Payton POV
I feel wet begin to fall on my face causing me to stir, blinking my eyes i begin to open them. Looking up I see Nathan crying over me with his eyes closed. "N..Nathan." I gruffly say, my throat really dry. He lifts up suddenly looking at me in shock. "P..Payton." He stutters out causing me to look at him weird. "Y..you were dead." He says pulling me into his embrace, hugging me tightly.
I wrap my arms around him, "I'm fine my love." I whisper giving him a slight squeeze. He pulls away, letting out a deep breath, "I thought I lost you to." He says as he kisses me on the forehead, causing me to frown. "What do you mean you thought you lost me to." I say as a sudden memory flashes before my eyes, I begin to remember everything that happened. Being tortured, Jamie having his neck snapped, me unlocking majority of my powers, the conversation with the moon goddess and seeing Jamie in the light. I gasp out in shock as I look over at Nathan. "I remember everything." I quietly say as I lift my hand and place it on his head. He closes his eyes as I show him everything that happened, a tear slips down his cheek as he lets out a little sob. I slide my hand from his head to his cheek as he opens his eyes. Placing my forehead against his we both begin to silently cry.
A couple of day's later we all take our seats as we sit down in the church. The minister begins to speak as the service starts. I look up and there stands a white coffin with a picture on top of it, my first mate Jamie. My eyes begin to blur as tears begin to fall down my cheeks. Nathan's hand lands on top of mine, which cause me to look at him, "we will get through this my love." He whispers as tears begin to role down his cheeks. I nod not wanting to say anything as I turn my head back to the front.
We all stand and watch as the coffin is picked up by Michael, his gamma, Chris, his gamma and two other pack members. They walk out the church and to down the path to a plot that is empty and waiting, as we follow behind. I let out a sob as Nathan places his arm around my shoulders, Lily lets out a sorrowful howl as we all surround the plot. The minister begins to finish his prayer as the coffin lowers into the ground. With tears running down my face I throw a rose on top of the coffin "goodbye my love." I whisper before I walk back over to Nathan. He grabs my hand and gives it a squeeze as he walks forward doing the same. "Goodbye my love." He whispers as another tear roles down both our cheeks. He walks back over to me, wrapping his arms around me as he silently cry's. Standing there beside the plot we both let out sobs as they begin to throw the dirt on top of the coffin.
