Chapter 4 - -3-

I'm hauling my trolley towards Platform 9&10 as Tonks is trying not to cry. James is in his basket, Sirius and Remus are trailing behind us, and Teddy is on Remus' hip. I stop infront of the wall and look back at my unique family.

Remus wraps a scarf around my neck and runs through the wall with me. I feel Sirius go through behind me, as Tonks and Teddy stay behind.

So many things are going on in Platform 9¾ that I don't know where to look. Remus and Sirius guide me towards the luggage man to give him my things. Once I do that, I turn around and look at Sirius and Remus.

"We're going to miss you, squirt" Sirius says, pulling me into a hug. A few tears fall as Remus joins and I hug them both goodbye. "I'll write to you every week!" I yell as I pull away and enter onto the train. Sirius hands me my money for sweets and hugs me goodbye one last time. I look around for a compartment and find one with a girl with dirty blonde hair, she seems to be a similar age to me. I knock on the door, "Can I come and sit with you?" She nods and I enter, sitting opposite her.

"Is it your first year too?" I ask her, wanting to break the silence. However she doesn't reply and just nods in response. "What's your name?" She looks at me curiously, "Asena Malfoy" I smile at her, glad that she spoke. "Hey Asena, I'm Thea Black" I stretch out my hand to her, and she accepts it. "Are you wanting to be put in any particular house?" I ask, already knowing my answer. "My mum was in Gryffindor, and my dad was in Slytherin, so either of those I guess." I nod at her, "I want to be a Gryffindor, but Hufflepuff would be cool too."

We chat for a while longer before the trolley with sweets comes around. I look over to Asena as she stares at the sweets. "One pack of fudge flies, one bertie botts, two chocolate frogs, and two Cauldron Cakes please" I pay for the sweets as the woman gives us our sweets. Asena looks over to me and smiles to say thank you.

The train arrives at the Hogwarts, Asena and I stare in awe at the castle. I can hear somebody shouting and turn around to see a huge burly man with wild dark hair. He quickly looks at me and he smiles, "I didn't know you were on the train, Ginny?" My eyebrows furrowed, "I think you've got the wring person" I slowly say, taking in the rather large person in front of me.

He seems to gaze at me a for a while longer, almost to confirm that I'm not who he thought I was. "So I do, sorry for that Miss, you just seem very familiar" I give him a weak smile before following all of the other first years to the boats.

I didn't know that Hogwarts was so amazing, and that it looked crazy! The Grand Hall was packed full of students on four different tables, and a large one at the front with who I presumed were the teachers. A short man with dark hair, dark robes and glasses came over to us first years and guided us to the front of the hall where a woman was standing.

She seemed old, but not that old, with emerald robes, a dark witches hat, and cat like eyes. She smiled at us as we approached her, and began to speak once we were all in place.

"Welcome back students, for another year at Hogwarts. For all of the First Years, there are four houses. Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. During your time at Hogwarts, your house is like your family. Now, let the sorting begin."

The first person to be 'sorted' was a small dark haired boy with dark brown eyes. He stepped us to the sta, where the old looking hat was waiting. The Woman - McGonagall, slowly placed the hat on his head, the hat was quiet for a moment, and then yelled. "RAVENCLAW!" The house with the blue ties cheered as the boy went over to them and sat down.

"Black, Thea" McGonagall looked up from the scroll she was reading off of and her face lost all colour when her eyes met mine. I went up to the stall and sat down, excited to be sorted by the hat. It was placed on my head by a pale looking McGonagall who stepped back afterwards.

"Interesting, very interesting. I thought the Weasleys had finished by now?" The hat chuckled and I whispered to it, "I'm not a Weasley." The hat grunted in response and continued. "Brave, intelligent, ambitious even a bit lonely. A unique little soul. Family history of Gryffindor, though you'd exceed in Slytherin too, just like your father would've. Nonetheless, GRYFFINDOR!" Claps and cheers came from the table with red and golden ties.

On the outside, I was happy and smiling, but inside, I had so many questions. Ever since I arrived at Hogwarts, people and things were reacting differently to me, and they know things about my parents.

Why do they know more than me?
