"Father!" I quickly combed my hair with my fingers and clumsily looked for my Father.
Peeking at the kitchen bubble, I shouted, "Father, I'll see Cose for a moment!"
Father gave me a worried look, "Why don't you rest a bit more?"
I shook my head slightly. I have already rested for two days and this is already the third day.
Sai gave me three days to decide whether I'll go to the surface or stay here and forget everything that happened at the night bazaar.
'Obviously I made my choice.'
Sigh.
I smiled at Father and he sighed.
"Are you going to tell them?"
"I will say my farewells in person..."I smiled sadly.
Well it's not like I'll be gone for good. I'll only be gone temporarily...
My Father gave me the sign to go, although with weary heart. I also started swimming and slithered my way out when I saw a familiar face behind the front door.
He stood there, his hair swirling into the water, flowing beautifully.
He didn't even bat an eyelash on me though, rather, he patted my head softly as he propelled his glimmering tail and passed over me towards my coral house.
'What is Aspen doing in my house? Did he come for me?' Yeah I wish.
'Did he come to see my Father?'
Hmm...but the only connection I see for Aspen to meet my Father is...Sai.
I sighed.
I decided to mind my business. I have to urgently find Cose and the others anyway. I'm running out of time.
I completely turned my back on our house and made my way to the Dormitory to see my friends.

I showed my friends the mystical carvings on my skin.
It looked brilliant and mysterious, but my friends, especially Cose payed it no mind and is more interested about my story.
"So, you're telling me that you have a secret twin? And he's the reason behind your bloody hell convulsion? And he asked you to come with him? You, a mermaid? He asked you, a mermaid to step on land?"
Cose asked with an an incredulous look instead.
I nod.
"What the bloody hell?!" She exploded.
'She's been repeating the word bloody...seems she really is upset.'
"Do you think you're making sense? Wait-no, does your whatever bloody twin think he is making sense?! Didn't he just save you for those creepy night bazaar people?! And now he is sending you to the battlefield?! How can he send a senseless you to land?! On your own?! That damn brat--!"
I chortled, she's overthinking this. Sure, the world outside is an unfamiliar place, but that doesn't mean Sai would put me on the battlefield?
I just gave her a smile. When I look at everyone, they are speechless.
"Well, he did gave me choice to refuse." I shrugged.
I think Sai just wanted me to know about Mother to be honest. Something that I too, would love to know.
I am currently at the Corales Dormitory. I came here after I passed my letter of excuse from the Academy, to inform the higher ups that I will stop attending school for a while due to family reasons.
Madam Fins, the Master of the Academy was surprisingly depressed about my declaration.
Although she often scolded me for ditching school, I guess even the steel hearted Madam Fins had grown some affection for me...
Anyway, I am now at the Dormitory with my friends.
Hannah abruptly stood up, "Where is this brother of yours? I'm gonna knock some sense in him!"
Hannah declared with her fist clenched up.
'Who chill, they make it sound like he's taking me away.' But isn't he? Hahah. I'm willing to go though.
"Guys, come on. I'll be fine. I really wanna go to the surface. I want to be with Sai...and frankly I want to unravel our family mysteries too."
"It's dangerous." Draein, the merman who stood by me like an older brother spoke.
"I know. But I can't lose Sai again. Not again..."
With glimmering eyes, "I want to go to the surface!" I told them.
"You'd be weaker at the surface, Siel. You wouldn't be able to use your mermaid abilities. You'll have to rely on so little mana, but you can't even use it properly since you never learned as a mage." Draien tried to convince me.
"What do you mean?" I flexed my muscles.
"I'm a strong girl!" I blurted.
I heard Cose mumbled, "Strong where? psh" I pouted.
"..."
"..."
"..."
The echoing silence was creeping me, but I had nothing to say anymore.
"..."
"..."
"Do you really think this is a smart idea?" Rave broke the silence and asked with all seriousness.
I beamed him a smile, "Nope, not at all!"
"Good. I'd be concerned if you did." He sighed but weakly smiled nonetheless.
The others looked at me with sorrow and grief.
All seems hesitant to speak. But I know that deep inside, they all understand why I have to leave Trivadocea.
Besides, I'd be lying if I say I don't want to go...I've always wanted to go to land even without my brother's proposal.
"...Siel." The merman, who was most silent among our bunch since I arrived at Corales, approached me with his solemn expression.
With his eyes, I understood. We swam a bit farther from the group to let them breathe.
"Esicc." I muttered his name.
I heard he was really worried about me. Father told me he stood by my side and held my hands for a whole night long to watch over me.
He wasn't leaving, that my Father had to drag him away.
I sincerely gave him a smile.
He looked anxious but dashing with his tale glinting silver and ashen beautiful hair. He is truly a double white merman with eyes as colorful as ocean skies.
He extended his hand, "Here."
It was the white pebble stone necklace that Esicc gave me as a present. The pebble looked ashen and dusty white. Pretty.
The crazy double white merman was nowhere to be found. An aloof looking and sincere guy was right there starring at me.
Esicc looked at my eyes like he was trying to read my soul,
"You dropped it when we we're being chased by the royal guards 'that day'".
That day...he is talking about my birthday...I was about to take that necklace when he blurted abruptly with his next words, "Can I make you stay...?"
He looked worried, sincere and...desperate...
Esicc is probably just really worried about me, among everyone, he must feel really worried especially since he was like a brother to me, then all of sudden, Sai came in the picture. So, with all conviction, I retracted my hand.
"...Take it." I arrogantly grin at him. "I'll take it back from you when I come back."
He looked rather stunned and blinked a few.
I chuckled, "What's with that stupefied look? Hey, you should keep this necklace safe! I'll beat you up, if you lose this!" I threatened.
"Pfft", he burst up laughing, "Hahahahah!"
'What is wrong with you?'
After heartily laughing for a few minutes, he stared at me and pulled me into a hug.
"You dummy...you better be safe...or I'll..."
