Synopsis

Chapter 1 - Prolog

"I have heard this story from my mother, the village grandmother and also the old books in the village library. The story of a strong nation. A nation that was once a threat and fear to humans themselves. A nation that has disappeared for thousands of years.

They had powerful magical abilities that surpassed their own sibling races. They could unite with the darkness, taking advantage of that ability to ambush or hide. The race that could utilize their weapons and excel every war, exceeding The Orcs and The Warbeasts themselves. Those who have the ability to exceed each race within their respective advantages.

So, why did they suddenly disappear? Aren't they a strong nation? Shouldn't they be the race that dominates this land? Why did they suddenly, mysteriously disappear?

No one knows.

Have their souls been taken by darkness, and their bodies hidden from this world? Is it possible for a natural disaster to scorch this race? Could it be that they moved to another place, further away, which we never knew?

Nobody knows,

for thousands of years.

They became tales and legends in the old books that filled the corner of the village library. Dark skin and pointy ears, slender body and cold face. All that was depicted in rough sketches displayed on old, yellowed paper.

Nobody knows what their real appearance looks like.

Until one day they came to save our village from the dangers of war between the two kingdoms, protecting us who were desperate and on the verge of life and death.

Of course that protection is not purely out of sincerity. Their help and support was followed by the feedback they asked for. The reciprocity that made everyone wonder.

One of us, the village girls, was required to marry their King."

----------

"We welcome the arrival of Evelynn Rosemary Avaron, a girl from the human village named Rosmaid, who will become the first wife of our King, His Majesty, King Corval XI".

"Your hands are shaking, are you sure you're alright?"

"... Do not worry about me. I'm fine, thankyou for asking".

"Just do as he says. You'll be fine, I assure you. Trust me".
