Chapter 44 - Surprise!

Mr.Dayal gazed at the minister sitting in front of him as he was quite shocked by his sudden obedience. Was this also a part of his so-called daily life acting? He is actually trusting Mr. Dayal and his team now.

"Aah….what is this? Aah,my head is spinning! "Mr.Hussain covered his forehead as if he was having a headache.

Dayal smiled.

" Did you put something….in….in it? This tea… is, huh!"He continues.

For once it actually seemed like he was having a real headache and probably will faint in no time. He even tried to drop the cup but his brother held on. Anyone could fall for his brilliant performance, especially his own brother, Faisal who forgot to act his part while he was busy worrying for his brother.

"Jake, were you also a part of this? How can you do this to your boss? " The minister says.

Jake said nothing but rolled his eyes. Everyone in the room were looking at each other vacantly because all of them had no idea what they should do then.

"Eh… I'm about to faint! " Mr. Hussain says and then laughs out loud.

"That's exactly what you wanted to see right? How is it, I completed your wish, see. "He laughed again.

Faisal was still dazed at the sudden change in his brother's expression. How can they even be called siblings? They have no similarities at all. Would it have been Faisal in the minister's place, he would have not stayed in politics for more than a year. Maybe that's why he made such a mistake when he was young but if not for Mr Faizan Hussain, he would have had a hard life.

They were polar opposites. Apparently, Mr. Dayal once said to his team that they were never blood related. Mr Faizan Hussain was actually an adopted child to the family but later Faisal was born. They are actually not siblings!

"See I fainted. " He opens his arms wide as he leans against the sofa, pretending to pass out.

Mr. Dayal looked towards Jake in astonishment but he immediately looked somewhere else to avoid any eye contact. He had no idea what was going on. Something was strange. The minister was acting strange. He stared at Jake for an explanation but Jake didn't even bother to look at him. He simply avoided him.

"What are you looking at Jake for? Look at me! " Mr. Hussain said with a grim face.

"Jake, what is going on? " Mr. Dayal asks, ignoring the minister.

"Heh...He's with us now. He knew what was right for him. " Mr Hussain blurted.

"What? " The whole team said in unison.

"Huh? "

"Yeah. You should learn something from him, you all should!" He says pointing fingers at everyone.

"Yes.Mr.Dayal we should forget about the whole matter. This issue is too old now, let's not waste our time in this case. " Faisal says.

Dayal glared at him.

"It's not an old case, it's still lodged in the police station. We just need the proof and you are gone. " Sam utters.

"Where is the proof? Where? " He scans around the room pretending to search for it. "I don't see. Did you see anything, Faisal? " He says, raising an eyebrow at his brother.

"Nope"

He replied.

"We don't have proof now but we will have it soon." Mon says.

"When? It's been years now and no one knows about this. " The minister says.

"The case is not that old is it? " Sam hissed to Mon.

"No, it has only been a year or so. It's not an open shut case to close so early. Besides, there's no one case against him. " Mon classified.

"Is he talking about some other case? "

"We were not informed about any other case, aren't we? "

"It will never be an old case as long as I don't prove you guys wrong! At least till she gets justice. " Dayal shouts.

He knew he was guilty and could not dare to look straight into Vikram Dayal's eyes.

"It was an accident and you know both of them were young then. These things happen. Just leave it. " Mr. Hussain said.

"She was just sixteen. I don't think she deserved such a terrific ending. No one deserves that. How could you even think of doing something like that? Why? Because she didn't give you a chance? F*ck that! "

Dayal's eyes grew darker and almost made Faisal stunned.

"Dayal, I understand that that's the biggest mistake this dumb kid ever did. If he was not my brother I would have never helped him out. But this is connected to me. You can just forgive him now, it's already been years. Moreover, she's dead! "

"Who's dead? What are you guys talking about? There's no she dead but he! The lawyer is dead. " Sid exclaims.

"Wait! You did not tell your team about that? " Mr Hussain asks.

"She's my daughter. These people killed her. " Dayal continues "I lost everything, my family too just because of them. "

"How did Jake know about this? Jake? " The minister turns back to see him standing there quietly. "Oh, you found it yourself! Great! "

"Jake? " Dayal mutters.

He still stayed silent.

"So what about the murders? The lawyers murder. Those corruption cases and smuggling. They are your deeds too isn't it? " Sid asks.

"Those corruption cases are related to us, but the murders, we don't know about it, do we? And the lawyer suicide right? " Faisal says and receives a glare from his brother.

"You killed my daughter! Don't you think she was too young to be messed with?" Dayal said in a furious tone.

"Dayal, we didn't. Faisal just…."the minister was interrupted by Mr Dayal.

" Molested her, assaulted her! "

"Yes I did and I'm sorry for that. My brother helped me get out of the jail. Then she died because she was in a critical condition. That's it and please, it was just a mistake" The brother said out loud as he stands up.

"Faisal! " The minister called but his brother didn't bother to listen to him.

"That's what you wanted to know right? Then that's it! Jake informed us about it already. Anyways, he will take care of any other evidence that you all must have collected just now. You will never be able to get anything. " He added.

Their eyes went to the person standing beneath the minister. He was not answering them nor was he taking any action. Everything was fine till they came in the room but now the game changed. This was not in their initial plan.

Jake didn't move an inch and stayed there stationery for all this while.

"Jake,say something? " Faisal asks.

"He doesn't need to say anything. We have already got what we needed. Not to mention we saw it through our own eyes" The unknown voice said.

They looked towards the direction of the voice. The owner of the voice was no one but one of the guards standing beside Jake. He was one of the guards of the minister. They stared at him with questioning eyes for an explanation.

Suddenly they hear footsteps outside the room and in no time the entire room is filled with a bunch of police officers.

The minister looked towards Dayal who was also in shock and then he met his eyes with the next person that came in his mind, Jake.

"Surprise! " Jake said with a smirk.
