Chapter 2 - The realm

I was falling deeper and deeper in to this whooshing portal, i couldn't see a thing because everything was almost pitch black except Pretty orbs of light, blue, pink white seemed to float and flash around me as I fell spiral downwards. I was pulled left and right, back and forwards. Up felt down and down felt up. Time was stopped and gravity didn't exist. I felt skeletal arms grip around me from every angle of the portal. A crowd of bony hands caressing and grabbing every part of my body. I wasn't keen on that idea , it was creepy and My heart hammered furiously. i shunted to a halt in mid air before hitting a hard flat surface. I hauled myself up looking around, squinting my eyes, in the darkness all around me. It was hard to make out, but i was sure i could see something shimmering ahead of me. I looked around to see the skeletal arms had disapeared. Where could they have gone? This couldn't get any stranger,.. Could it? I stood up looking in the direction of the beautiful shimmering light I'd seen that danced harmoniously in the suffocating darkness, casting an eerie, yet gentle glow. slowly, I eased towards it, my heart still racing, Wondering what i stood before. As i gaze and follow the shimmering whizzing light, Warmth seemed to radiate from it, spreading throughout me giving me a pleasant peaceful feeling. I stretched my hand out to touch the light, Suddenly the shimmering light seemed to expand and the whole place was lit blindingly for several minuets before it toned down revealing a creepy but beautiful woodland. It was a warm pleasant night as fire flies Danced amongst the falling petals of the weeping cherry trees that swayed in the gentle breeze, as if welcoming me. Flowers were blossomed everywhere in every colour and the sky was a pretty jade colour . Then as if it had been watching me the moment I had arrived, beight eyes glowed in the night, looking so eerie. hair on the back of my head raised slowly. It felt so much like a nightmarel. I could hear the trickling of a stream nearby. Suddenly out pg nowhere i herd someone shout " Oi You.!" My heart seemed to have abruptly stopped. I hid behind a meduim sized rock, peering slightly over. " pfft.she's not going to survive here. Not in this world. The princess Is out numbered.. Oh and Don't forget, epidemius is watching, just waiting to snatch her up as he said, destroy her.. mmh i wonder, if humans are as delicious as lord molomo said they are, if i was you id let it be over, of course if you do not wish to die a pathetic death." sneered a very unpleasant looking man. He was bald, tall and thin. He had the biggest conker nose I'd seen in my life. " hahaha, this is quite entertaining" kiaros snorts. " you think you of all people can threaten me ? I'll never submit. you can tell Epidemus, I won't do it. I reckon She's far more capable than you think and if not... I'll prepare her. You'll see. that's all the information you are getting, now " Said Kairos coldly. Oh he was looking more perfect than ever. I loved how his silvery shimmery hair shone in the sun like the shiny blade of a beautifully crafted sword and his icey blues glistened brilliantly, especially ehrn his eyes were sharp and dangerous looking. I don't know why he was here, I didn't know that was even possible for him to be here, but then I think back to me seeing him ask that girl out to prom.. What appended to that? This had to be a dream! i wanted to stride up there and demand why he was here, but No, i knew better than that, it could be dangerous. I didn't want to go near the creepy man, every time I looked at him he gave me an uneasy feeling. I sat still, behind the rock. None of what i'd heard made sense to me. An outnumbered princess, huh? So this princess had enemies.. I bet that isn't too fun for her. I shivered at the breeze and even though this place was immensely pretty, it was still creepy, especially with conker nose around. Petals still fell slowly all around me from the top of a beautiful cherry blossom, as the wind gently caressed the tree. They looked like little love hearts and as kiaros walked away in to the shadows he walked without a care, without even knowing i was here. I wanted to yell to him but i knew i shouldn't. I squeezed my eyes shut as I tore a petal in half. It hurt seeing him, knowing again i was out of his reach and sight. I felt pathetic as tears streamed, so I eagerly wiped them away " what are you doing here?!" i heared a familiar voice. It was the bold man and he was standing in front of me, his face full of suspion. "I..er..i don't actually know; where am i." I admitted, as he glared down at me. He grabbed hold of me and shook me frantically about, mm you're an insignificant human!! We need the princess, but i could make a feast out of you, get up and come with me munt." I didn't like his attitude but i decided to follow him in hope i could find out where i was, not because i wanted to be a feast.

We arrived at a large spacious cave with underground cabins, it was much like a little village. A strange one at least. little lanterns hung on doors to light the cavern up. We stopped out side a building with huge golden doors and a sign that said " the beasts feast palace." The bald man knocked twice. The golden doors creaked open, revealing a beautiful marble floor, and a dazzling stylish decor that anyone would be jealous of. At the other side of the room to the right was a bar, filled with all sorts of alcohol and glasses. A Door to the left of the room swung open, making a deafening crash, it made me jump. A fearsome creature i had never seen before strided in to the room and sat up on a chair, the chair sagged under his weight. He looked like something out of hell. His eyes, they were black and his skin scaly and green, the horns on his head, sharp and pointy, is what reminded me of hell the most.. the Devil. "Calvagh.. Pour me some whiskey!" it growled, looking very bored. The bald guy rummaged in the bar and returned a few minuets later, carrying a meduim sized glass of whiskey which he passed to the creature. " um, my lord, We have a prisoner." Calvagh looked at me then back at the creature, " Bring me the prisoner." He chugged down the whiskey, and threw the glass on the floor, it made a loud crash. " I already did Lord Malomo, she is right here." Calvagh pointed to me, and the creature Malomo glared at me for a few seconds. "Come here my child." He patted the chair next to him. A shiver ran down my spine as i sat in the seat next to him, His mood seemed to have changed in mere seconds from bored to devious. " My, such a pretty girl." His claws softly caressed my hair then my neck. I sat stiffly, frightened what would happen if i moved. Malomo wrapped his claws around my neck, squashing my thoat, making it impossible to breath. He pulled me closer to his face, inhaling my scent from my neck. "Ahh the smell of human blood. It's like smelling hot doughnuts at fairegrounds... irresistible and mouthwatering. Feeling a beating heart.. You are pure. Attractiveness also helps with the taste. He licks his lips and throws me hard on to the stone floor. I clutch my throat, breathing hard. I daren't move. " Calvagh, take her to the chamber" Calvagh bows polietly " yes, my Lord." He grabs my arm and drags me through a door on the left as I still tried to catch my breath. He continued to drag me down a long winding corridor, which was very narrow, untill we reached a battered looking wooden door. Inside the room it looked like a torture chamber, I didn't like this room, the walks looked rotten and damp. Various tools and items hung on what I could see on rustic walls whilst in the dark room. Blood seemed to be splashed along one wall, and it looked fresh. Calvagh pushed me in to a surgical bed as i tried to push him away, I tried to squirm and get up, using all the strength I could muster but he was too strong, he held me in place as he tied my wrists, waist , neck and ankles to the bed.I screamed at him to let me go and that they wouldn't want me as a prisoner as i'd be a boring one. Calvagh just laughed. " oh, keep screaming as much as you want. someone might hear you, but they're not going to help you!" He laughed madly. " you wont be boring when Malomo has you though." he laughed madly again." you'll be chouder" Even though i knew it was pointless, i still tried to pull my arms free but the ropes tightened and burned my skin and the smell of rust filled the room making me sick. I wanted more than anything to get away from here but I guess i just hoped for a miracle. Calvagh disapeared for a few seconds and returned with a large steel blade. My heart beat was furiously fast. my hopes and chances of escaping now had just flew out the window. Suddenly a flashback seemed to take over and i was sat on a roof top in the silvery moonlight. fireflies and stars made this night unbelievably beautiful. A young kairos was sat next to me staring at the moon. " kiaros why do you always protect me? i could of fought those bullies off myself" I said glaring at him. My voice was childlike and calm. " because I was sworn by your fa-" he stopped dead and pressed both hands to his mouth as though he'd said something terrible. " what's wrong?" I asked, startled by his sudden body language. " uhh.. It-it's nothing. I have to go now, it's late " and we left it at that. I remember he hadn't been quite the same after that night. The flashback seemed to end and I was back in the smelly torture room. Calvagh was now stood in front of me with the steel blade. his eyes glistened with madness and excitement and I shivered with fear and dread. The tiny bit of hope that i'd had disappeared in a matter of seconds. I knew kiaros wouldn't come to rescue me. he seemed to busy. "No please, just let me go" i pleaded as he put the blade against my left thigh. " please, please don't do this " A playful smirk appeared on his hideously ugly face. "this will be a magnificent roast joint."He was enjoying my pleading, screaming and cries for help as he began slashing my thighs. each time he would go a little deeper. I screamed as loud as my lungs would let me, but it would not take the throbbing, stinging, the burning and the rusty smell away. This was the end. This was how I died.

Okay I didn't die but for a whole 2 billion seconds, I thought I had. The room lit up blindingly and a black silhouette flew over me. I could just make out the wings and the long flowing hair. " It must be an angel" I thought to myself in awe. "Being in heaven wasn't so bad. " But to my horror the light died down and I could see again that I was still inside that room. The only difference was my vision was blurred and the angel was fighting off calvagh and other random baddies I hadn't seen, but I knew were there, I could hear snarling and screeching coming from all directions. I didn't know whether it was just me but the room seemed to warm up very quickly, and the smell of burning hair and wood seemed to overpower and block the smell of the rust from my blood for a few seconds. My eyes felt like lead and began to close till everything was black. I was finding it hard to breathe now and the only thing I could hear was fighting taking place. Soon my angel would take me away.
