Lucas had just realised what a big mistake he made as his sense of smell heightened.
'I can't believe I actually pick a private room just for the two of us and now, the aroma of her blood is filling up the room and it is smothering me,' Lucas reflected on his own rash decision.
The air has not been circulated but contained since the door last opened. He took in a deep breath and held it as he advanced towards the only door. Once the door opened, he exhaled with ease and comfort, startling the waiter who stood by the door.
"Is there anything you need, sir?" the waiter asked politely after he composed himself.
"Get me the bill."
"Right away, sir."
"Wait a minute, come here for a second," Lucas asked as he caught a whiff of the waiter's perfume.
"Yes, sir?"
"Get me your perfume," Lucas smirked as though he had thought of something brilliant.
