He knew what he had to do. Her guardian was the only person who could help with her control. It broke him that she couldn't find that comfort in him yet she could in someone else. A guardian was bonded to you, even if you had no like for them. That comforted him slightly. He drove through the streets at the sun began to rise over the horizon. She lay asleep with a dim purple aura around her on the backseat of his old school defender. He loved her more than he thought possible. It hurt him to know she was so troubled inside her own mind and he couldn't save her from it.
"Stay present love" he whispered through gritted teeth as he tried to keep the wheel steady whilst speeding past traffic lights and other early risers.
He slapped the steering wheel of the car in frustration. This wasn't quick enough! He pulled the car over quickly and reached back towards her. He twisted to place a hand on her forehead hoping her mind was still free enough to get them home.
"Take us home baby girl" She lit up with her purple aura and the world flashed brightly around them. She was still with him, he laughed as they flashed in front of her guardian's home yet the moment faded fast. She was in his arms and a dead weight. He ran towards the door shouting the guardian's name "Namesh!"
