Namesh woke instantly and rose from his bed. He flashed himself to the livingroom where she lay unconscious on his sofa. Namesh looked at the man next to her "is she still with us?" He asked.
"She flashed us here with my help, I don't think she has long"
Namesh rubbed his face quickly to banish the sleep from his expression. "Let me work" he demanded and shooed the man away. "Please bring her back Namesh. I need her". Namesh could see the pain and worry in his eyes "she is just as important to me as she is to you" he lifted her head and sat down placing her head on his lap.
Namesh stroked her blonde shoulder length hair from her face. Her complexion was flawless and pale. She was almost vibrating with power making it hard for him to find her centre. He calmed himself and searched through her brain as he stroked her brow gently. "I am here Love, hear me. Find me. Find our connection" Namesh whispered through his gritted teeth. She was stronger than she knew, so much energy surrounded her that it was ingrained in her DNA. Her eyes rapidly began to move beneath her closed lids. "Find the connection" Namesh repeated but louder. The air around them began to hum with a strong vibration. The paintings Namesh had hung began to shake on the walls.
"Khalee." He strained as his body began to tense to a painful level. Her eyes snapped open. They were a pale purple with flecks of yellow in them. She inhaled sharply and grabbed on to her surroundings. Namesh pushed her up to sit "Princess." He smiled as she searched the room for her mate. "I am here love" he answered coming into view and sitting on the edge of the sofa.
"What happened?" She asked in a panic. Her mate moved closer to her and held her hand "I thought I'd lost you, it started to consume you. I brought you the only place I knew" he reeled off quickly. "Good job he did. I didn't think you would find yourself. I've never seen you so close to the edge" Namesh admitted leaning back against the black leather. Khalee looked between Namesh and her mate "I am sorry". They both laughed quietly before Namesh answered "no need Love, we are here for you in all walks".
The two men left her to rest on the sofa and walked to the white marble kitchen. "You should slow your heart rate. She is fine" Namesh said pouring himself coffee, he gestured to the mate and he nodded yes. "It's hard to calm myself when I've just watched Khalee erupt how she did. I don't understand what happened" He rubbed his brow as he rested his elbows against the cold island.
"Case?" A voice questioned from a hallway interrupting the two. "Yes?" Casey answered as a slender man aged in his twenties appeared. His hair was brown and highlighted with blonde. He sported tattoos of all kinds all over him. His eyes blue and caring. He had a pull to women like no other and it annoyed Casey. "Congrats man. I'm excited for you".
Casey and Namesh looked at the man in confusion. "What are you talking about J?" Namesh questioned. J looked between the two. "Is it a secret? F**k sorry" J said holding up him hands then getting himself a coffee. Namesh and Casey were still just as confused so Namesh went to J's thoughts.
"She's pregnant.." Namesh announced abruptly staring at Casey. He looked back at him stunned. "S-s-sorry, she's what?" He stuttered. The three men all looked between each other for a minute in silence.
Pregnant.
Casey hung his head in his hands as J sipped his coffee leaning his lower back against the island next to Casey. J placed a hand on Casey's shoulder "good luck mate". Casey looked up at him with sheer panic on his face making J laugh. "It's not possible" Namesh told them. J shrugged his shoulders "listen".
Once again the three men were in silence. A heartbeat. A small heartbeat that sounded like a galloping horse.
"F**k" Casey cried.
