-Joel POV-
"They're so slow, that brother of mine" Chrysant puffed her cheeks.
"Don't worry, they'll be back soon" I calmed Tristan's younger sister.
It's been a while since they checked the perimeter, did they encounter some problem? I couldn't help but feel nervous.
"Chrysant, I'm going to check downstairs!" I set off on my own.
"Hey don't move too much! You're still hurt!" Chrysant growled from the distance.
The pain on my shoulder has yet to subside, but I couldn't help but feel like there's a nagging feeling inside me. Especially about that gunshot we just heard. It was as if someone did that on purpose near our premises. However, it could be that I might overthink it. My insecurity rose because of Aria's absence.
I want Aria to take a break for a while, seeing how she broke down last night pained my heart. When I descended on the first floor, I heard a familiar voice yelled from the distance.
