Hose was under shock.
His brain couldn't process what had just happened between him and the black-haired girl.
Hina ran towards the frozen boy and asked in a cautious voice.
"What happened between you two? Did she say anything? Are you hurt?"
Hina looked at the girl, "what happened to her? Why is she lying unconscious again?"
Hose got a hold of reality and came back to his senses. "I don't know. She just woke up and hugged me out of nowhere. I was shocked for a while."
Hose looked at Hina, asked with a bold tone. "Just what is the relationship between Veru, Sanim, and you?"
Hina avoided the question and sensed her forehead. "She doesn't have a fever, that's a relief."
Hose grabbed her shoulders and shook them violently. "Don't avoid the question. What happened between you three?"
Hina scratched her face, avoiding eye contact. "Well, nothing to get so worried about."
"Are you trying to hide it from me? Do you know, misunderstandings in the predicament we are in may prove to be fatal to us?"
Hina looked at his brown eyes and took a deep breath.
"Fine, I will tell you from the very beginning."
Hina started narrating their past.

"H-Help….. Meee…."
A faint voice rang through the ear of a green-haired boy, who was collecting shells with a white-haired girl.
His gaze turned towards the deep waters, where he saw a girl drowning.
She kept flapping her hands, and legs as hard as she could, but could only keep herself barely above the surface of the blue water.
"Save me….."
The green-haired boy dropped down the shells he had collected since the morning as he could towards the sea and dived straight into it.
Trying his best, he reached towards the girl as fast as his limit was and rescued her from drowning in the sea.
The girl fell unconscious onto his body; he grabbed her and swam his way back along with the girl.
"Veru..." shouted the girl who was standing on the beach, in bewilderment of what had just happened in front of her eyes. She ran hastily towards the green-haired boy, who happened to be her only friend as well as family.
Veru rested the girl on the sandy shore, as he looked at the white-haired girl marching in his direction.
"Hina, is there any problem? What happened."
He couldn't comprehend her actions and asked, revealing his foolish nature.
"Idiot! What if something had happened to you? Do you know how scared I was?"
The white-haired girl gave him an earful that went until the black-haired girl recovered from her unconscious state.
Her red eyes gleamed vibrant under the setting of sun rays. She looked at the green-haired boy with her eyes slightly down along with her face which glowed red as she called to him. "T-Thank you"
The green-haired boy gave her a mischievous grin. "Don't! I did what Hina, asked me to do, Hina did you see me saving her? How was I? Did I do it right?"
Veru looked towards the white-haired girl with shiny olive eyes.
Hina looked at his bright eyes and froze at that very moment.
"You did great. I was shocked by what you did."
A bright smile appeared in her face as the warm gaze of his somehow calmed his mind.
Veru looked at his hands and panicked. "Where? Where are they? Hina, did you see where I threw those tiny white shells? I had over sixteen."
Hina chucked at his foolishness, as she took his hands in her and proposed an idea. "We still have time left. If we work together we can collect more than what you used to have."
Veru's eyes gleamed the moment he heard the word 'more, ' he had been working for hours, but despite all his efforts, he couldn't find more than those sixteen, out of which four he borrowed from the white-haired girl.
"Let's start!" Veru cried in excitement.
The green-haired boy gave little to no attention to the black-haired girl, whose clothes were all drenched, and was silent the whole time.
"C-Can you take me to my home?"
She asked in a hesitant voice, which immediately was cut off by the boy.
"Nope. I and Hina need to collect shells. You are fine and must be able to go home alone, aren't you?"
The girl's body trembled, as she clutched his fists.
Smack…..
The white-haired girl gave the green-haired boy a stomp on his head, as she caressed her silky black hair. "Veru, that was rude. You shouldn't reject those who need help. That's bad."
Very scratched his face, with an awkward smile on his face. "When did I say I won't help her? I was just asking for the reason she couldn't go alone. What would we do if she doesn't know the address?"
Veru gave a sigh, loud enough for the white-haired girl to hear it. She looked at the girl next to her.
"Do you know where your house is?"
The girl nodded.
"Then why can't you go there by yourself?"
Veru gave her an annoyed look.
Hina gave Veru a glare, and then patted the girl, who slowly answered.
"I am scared of the darkness."
"Pfft….."
Very could barely hold his laughter any longer. "How can one be scared of the darkness? Is she even serious?"
