Klyne had an identical twin brother, Iverson. The two twins had a unique relationship, they were friends more, and brothers less.
One followed the other's tail. But everything changed when the government invited Iverson for some research. After a few years of him joining, Klyne didn't talk with him as much as he did before; unknowingly this soon created a gap between the two, and one day Iverson just disappeared, and Klyne had a zero idea about him. And when Klyne got to know about this, he blamed himself for his disappearance.
He asked at all the places he could think of; his college; his office; his lab. There was no place he didn't visit; he even visited all the girls related to him, but still couldn't find even his strand. It was as if someone had erased his entire existence.
After two years of futile attempts, he finally received the news. Iverson was on a secret mission, but they mentioned nothing about it, and he once again lost.
After searching for him everywhere and getting no answer, he moved on but still kept searching for his brother.
"What do you mean by that?" Klyne asked in a shaky voice; drops of cold sweat flooded his forehead; his throat dried out.
"Do you know anything about Bio Encryption?" asked Yukima, with guilt seen in her eyes. "He was working on this mission before you replaced him."
"No, No, No…. This is just too bullshit to even believe. Iverson, that guy knew nothing more than how to seduce women. Even when he got the job, I was unsure if he passed, or just banged someone." Klyne shook his head in disbelief.
The ebony-haired girl couldn't help herself but laugh and cry at the same time. "Yes, he wasn't serious for work, but he was a genius, just like you."
"How?" he asked, whipping the tears that rushed through his guilt-ridden eyes.
"It all began a couple of years ago, long before he even graduated. I was his senior, and unfortunately his lover. When I was appearing for my finals, he would always help me with my studies, and later I found he was a researcher where I was a supervisor."
"He was totally changed, except for his flirtatious habit. He would hit on every female scientist, and I would have to stop him."
Klyne chuckled at the familiar side of his twin. "You must have a hard time looking after him"
Yukima gave out a brief chuckle, "he was a serious pain for every female scientist, they used to report about his flirting every day."
"Where were you with him all the time?"
"Yes, " said the raven eyed girl, with a somewhat sense of loss shown clearly in his eyes.
"What was he working on?"
Klyne asked, sighing, and shaking his thoughts away.
"He was….."
Rumble…..
The ship once again shook violently, much fiercer than previous.
A man jolted into the room, where the two were holding nearby furniture for support.
"Miss. Yukima, check this out"
Gaining a hold on herself. "Yukima, walled through the door, followed by Klyne.
Rustle…..
The mast blew till it's limit; it seemed it would rip apart anytime.
" What happened?"
"The weather is just wild. There is a storm up ahead of us."
Klyne came out of the cabin and saw the uploading waves making a sound as they all hit the ship in unity.
Drip…. Drop…. Drip….
A heavy drizzle of water, accompanied by a thunderstorm hit the crew hard. The sea became wild, as the waves were enlarged enough to engulf some portion of the ship.
"Everyone, get back to their cabins." Shouted Thime, while ordering the two members to help him navigate.
With her drenched face, Yukima along with Klyne went back to the cabin, as the ship once again stabilized and the weather calmed itself.
"What happened? Everything was fine a few moments ago." Klyne asked, a few moments ago he was chatting with her, and now they escaped from a potential storm. "Yukima, Tell me quickly about Iverson in brief."
"He died in an accident, and before he died, he created something."
Yukima headed towards the draw on her right, threw a towel towards Klyne. "First, dry yourself. I am not running away."
Klyne impatiently wiped his hair and sat on the chair.
Yukima placed a blue box on the table. "He was working with me on a project. We had to decrypt the message which is lying down on the table"
Klyne took another look at the sheet of paper, "what does it say?"
"It's a puzzle inside a puzzle. We still don't know the complete puzzle. All we know is that paper contains some secret, for which Iverson died while searching. He was the leading expert in its decryption."
