Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

April 's expression softened as she returned to her pasta. "It was hard. I was upset. I even changed my last name to his. In my mind, we are married." She pointed to her chest and said, "Okay." Aquila paused. Rice field. I didn't understand why he said that. He really wasn't. No one in his life felt so close to him. He or he was loved. "Once you find love once in a lifetime, you can't move on," she told him, waving a fork. "Never, right? Almost never?"

April shook his head. "Don't do it again."

For a moment the thought saddened him. Losing someone you love was hard, it's true. But will it never last? He was convinced that Albert never wanted April to be single. She will never love again "Come on to you," April said, leaning over her head. "Let's go," Atiya said, her eyes wide open. "Don't say I didn't warn you."

He smiled at her. It was very refreshing to be able to speak frankly. For Raquel , everything was always about ulterior motives and passive aggression. April seemed honest and open. He had to admit it was fun. "I don't."

"Then this company you run—"

His cell phone rang, alerting everyone. His cheeks turned red when he took it out and looked at the screen. I got a text message from Raquel asking where he was. Guilt tightened in his chest. As he stared at her, he could almost see her disappointment in her words. Why is he here again? He should stay away from Atiya and her eccentric aunt. To protect her from Raquel , he should stay away. He put it back in his pocket. "I'm sorry," he said. Maybe he should break up and leave. Before he took care of these two women. "What exactly are you doing? Other than interrupting us every fifteen minutes." April smiled at him, but he could see the disappointment behind her eyes. I saw. He straightened his back in his seat. The people in my life won't leave me alone." He glanced at the door and swallowed. Now would be the time if he were to go. But when he turned to April and Atiya , his stomach changed. They seemed genuinely interested in him and absolutely didn't want him to be rude. So he sat back and smiled. "We take small businesses in and help them grow big, but things can get very volatile."

April frowned. "How do you grow your company?"

Aquila looked at her. "First, let's look at the competition. Most of the time we buy them out or get a better deal. Then we expand. Please go to another city. Expand online. I see. "

April studied him. "Would you like to expand?" he asked. If he had been honest with himself, he would have already thought of the steps he could take to expand and grow the brand. It was almost sick. No matter how much he wanted to, he couldn't completely turn his back on his investments. April 's eyes shifted from him to Atiya , and he looked at her. As I sat in her seat, her skin turned pale. "Excuse me," she said, pushing back her chair and placing the napkin on the table next to her plate. Within seconds she was out of the room. Aquila tapped his finger on the table in front of him as he turned to April . "Did I say something wrong?"

April shook her head. "Her father's shop was forced to close ten years ago. Some handsome guy came in and did exactly what you said. Pushed out small children. Broke a man's heart. I had to find a job as a chauffeur for a wealthy family just to take care of Atiya ." She tapped a napkin to her lips. "That's exactly what I was afraid of when you said investment." Her eyes swept across her room. "why?"

April gave him a glance. "I'm trying to help you remove the obstacle."

He put his fork on his plate and swallowed. He wasn't quite sure what she was going to do with the matter, but suspected it had something to do with him and Atiya . "Honey, you're wasting too much time avoiding the subject. If Atiya is interested, you need to do something about it."

Biting into his garlic bread was the wrong move. Part of it fell down his throat. He gasped and coughed until it disappeared. He reached out his hand and took a sip of water. "Well, you're not doing nothing and ranting, aren't you?"

Jun leaned forward. "At my age, you can say whatever you want. That's an advantage. A treat for all those creaking joints. "

Aquila looked back down the hall where Atiya had disappeared. "She seems to be a pretty big stumbling block when she reacts like that."

She smiled. "You will learn that everything can be overcome. Just talk to her."

Suddenly Aquila felt very uncomfortable. As if he got in the way. "don't know-"

"I don't know if it's leftovers or a pyramid scheme. Go. Talk to her. Don't miss her chance." April leaned over the table and began collecting her plates. "But hurry up. I'll have chocolate cake ready for you."

Aquila pushed his chair back and stood up. His heart pounded in his chest. On the one hand, he liked what April said. There was something admirable about a man whose life was taken by horns. But again, he was never the type to impose a relationship. He nods to April before losing his nerve and walks down her corridor. "It's the last door on the left," she called out to him. He took a deep breath as he approached the open door. Well nothing worked here.
