Atiya placed the cup on the counter, found the lid, and nodded as she snapped it shut. She grabbed it and held it out. Aquila reached out and his finger touched hers. Tiny electrical sparks shot from her fingers into her arms, and for a moment she felt paralyzed. Alarm bells were ringing in her head, so she lowered her hands. Aquila glanced at her, then put her coffee to her mouth and took a sip. "What do you owe me?" he asked. She raised her hand. "It's on top of the house."
He turned her eyes on her and blinked. "are you sure?"
Atiya nodded. She had to rush him out of the store. Her determination to hate all her rich people faded away. For her and her father's sake, Aquila Scott had to leave and never come back. "I really need to get back to work," she whispered into the kitchen. Aquila followed her gesture and nodded. "Okay." He tried to make his way to the door with his coffee and bag, but stopped. "Well then, shall we meet tomorrow?" he asked, turning to her. Atiya swallowed and tried to get the liquid in her mouth again. "yes."
He smiled. "Perfect." Then he slid out into the street. With a sigh, Atiya turned and leaned against the counter. What's the matter? There was something about Aquila Scott that was open and vulnerable. Something that made her want to know everything she could about him. She took a deep breath and squeezed her temples together. She couldn't have been attracted to him. She couldn't do it. She reached out and took out her mobile phone from her apron pocket. She had to be reminded of what was really important. Being attracted to wealthy men went against everything she had promised after her father's death. She intended to move to New York and start her own business. She will be strong and proud of him. Her memory was fading of how heartbroken she was the day her father had to close the charter company. She wiped her phone and stared at a picture of her standing next to her father holding up her freshly caught fish. The memory moved her and her eyelids began to fill with tears. What does he think of her now? He would be very disappointed. She wiped the tears from her cheeks and got up. It's time for her to stop struggling and get down to business. Just because Aquila Scott 's touch made my heart beat faster and my body temperature rose, didn't mean I should forget everything. After all, she had a job to do. The bell above the door rang, and April 's cheerful voice echoed throughout the store. She said something about her sitting and will be back soon. Atiya took a deep breath and wiped her cheek again. She didn't want April to see her crying. Once again. Instead, she forced a smile and turned around to see her aunt standing next to her with her eyes wide open and her big smile on her face. "How was it?" she asked, nodding toward the exit. "I don't know what she's talking about."
April gasped. "Don't you know what I'm talking about? Rich and handsome just here," she whistled. "You must have seen the way he looks at you." She leaned forward. "As if you were enjoying what you saw."
"Aunt April , well," Atiya shut her up, glancing at the guests sitting at the table looking at the chalkboard above her. April raised her hand. "I just call it what it looks like, and the way I see it, this guy likes you."
Atiya shook his head. I had to cancel April , but now it is. "He's not. He's just there to see if he can make donuts for tomorrow's meeting."
April opened the glass door and pulled out some raspberry donuts from the display. "Don't worry, I know what you want," she said, waving to the couple at the table. They were a little confused, but April , as usual, shook them off. ' asked Atiya , and April looked in disbelief. "Can you just tell they don't like their pick? I don't think so." She put the donuts on the tray. "You know, people always think they know what's best for them. But they don't. So they need a little bit of work. That's why I'm here." She smiled at Atiya . Just like when she decided to paint her kitchen pastel pink. Atiya followed her to the table. She suspected that April was talking about donuts. "What did you do?" she asked while the guests were happily eating. April went to the cash register and deposited the money given to her by the customer. "Why do you think I did something?"
Atiya just folded her arms and raised an eyebrow. "teach."
April raised her hand. "Okay, okay. I stopped Aquila before he left and invited him to dinner tonight."
Atiya 's stomach tightened. "What did you do?"
"Honey, even rich people have to eat."
Atiya 's resolve to keep Aquila at bay crumbles before her eyes. "April , I wish you had asked me."
"Before I invite anyone over for dinner, would you like to ask where I cook?" She shook her head. "Oh no, darling. And I know how you look at him. 'Now that's happening,' she said, avoiding Atiya , and poured two cups of hot chocolate." I took it to the customer. Atiya remained behind the counter. Fear ran down her back and she ran to her toes. What should she do now? She pressed her hand to her forehead. She could pretend that she was ill. But it seemed a little extreme to me. Instead she sighed. When April came up with the idea, she had a hard time dissuading it. Aquila came and Atiya couldn't do anything.
