The night before I went to school, Ade came to see me and he handed over some stuffs that i would need for school(that's actually my birthday gift). I was really elated when I saw the gifts because that was my first birthday gift in years now. I don't celebrate my birthdays, sometimes I don't remember and sometimes I don't just feel the vibes that should come with it. Well, that's just me.
He came closer and caressed my cheeks with his ever soft hands. Then, he gently kissed me on my lips and then deepened it because that's probably the last time I'll see him unless I come home for my holidays. I wrapped my arms around his neck and my hands found its way to his hair(I love doing that) and I gently tugged at it as we kissed till we ran out of breath. We finally pulled free from each other as he looked at me with love and admiration clearly seen in his eyes. In that moment, I was on cloud nine and seeing his flushed face, I was impressed.
Then after sharing our moments, I began to escort him home. On our way, Ade voiced out his insecurities about how I'm going to leave him for some random university guy because he was not going to be there for me when I needed him the most. I assured him that nothing of the sort would happen because I was honestly not interested in any guy. After assuring him and telling him to trust me, he looked relieved about it and we kissed again like our whole lives depends on it. We finally pulled apart reluctantly and I told him good night with a promise to call him the next morning when I was travelling.
On my way home , I was reminiscing that moment we shared with a smile on my face and thinking about what he said about leaving him for a university dude, I don't even talk to guys that much because I don't just have the confidence to do so(it's weird, I know that). If only life was kind enough to show me a glimpse of what it has,maybe I wouldn't have been surprised about how my life later turned out to be. Life is just amazing in its own way.
