Chapter 13 - Assistant Celeste

Kaizer walked up the spiralling stairs and eventually ended up on the second floor of the library. The first floor of the library mostly has general knowledge-based books and Kaizer used the books here to study. The second floor had a blue/green carpet instead of a red one like the first floor. A few people were sitting at some of the tables and studying together. There was also a line up to check out books. Instead of a librarian, this floor had an assistant.

Her skin was a sparkly white. Her eyes were red and her hair cascaded down her back, it was similar to the dreamy purple on Kaizer's robes. She was a beauty and the vampire race had many. If you compared her beauty, she would be in the top 100 women of the Blood Lands. Her black robes were a bit loose but they stuck out in two distinct places, particularly her chest and behind. However, from behind she was much more impressive.

Her distinct kind voice came out as soon as Kaizer made it up the steps.

Celeste: Kaizer I haven't seen you in a while, how you been?

Kaizer shrugged his shoulders. "Honestly, I've just been studying for the trials to become Vampire King. I want to get the knowledge tests out of the way and now I can focus on the strength tests so I came here."

Celeste: Awh, it's good that you're doing good. Well, as you know we have most of our basic books that involve fighting on this floor. Blood magic arts are towards the back ends. In and around the middle of this floor we have books on our general innate abilities, how to trigger and control them and more. At the front, it is mostly the hand to hand fighting styles we have and the general combat strategies. On the third floor, the battle arts are top tier and much more advanced. If you're unsure about picking an art, remember to place your hand on it and start to feel the magic pumping through your veins. If the magic resonates with the book it is compatible with you. The greater the resonation the better but sometimes the books you need won't always have the best resonation.

Celeste's soft face had a gentle smile planted on it. "All set?" She innocently leaned in. "Or do you need my help, I don't mind helping you around."

Kaizer: Umm, I think I'll be okay for now but if I need any help I'll let you know
