Kaizer strolled off and went directly to the battle strategies. A King must know how to lead an army and how to lead himself. There was a row of ancient war strategies. Kaizer pulled down four large books, one was black, the next was blue and the third was green. Kaizer dusted them off and read off their names.
The Art of War: How to lead your people
Typhon's small scale battle strategies
Smoke White Fists
Celeste was around the corner and sat with Kaizer at his table. "Oh, so The Art of War, I suppose it only makes sense for every future King or ruler to read that book. The wisdom within the book has led our kingdom for hundreds of years and will lead us for hundreds to come. Typhon's small scale battle strategies? Not many people focus on this book too much, they usually choose one of the smaller and more specific books. You know, no matter your team composition, there are only so many strategies that will work. But.... for a king it will keep you ahead in all situations, never clueless on what to do."
Kaizer's interest was piqued a bit. "Celeste I knew you read books but I didn't know you read so much. Now that I think about it, I haven't really seen you out of the castle that often."
Celeste. "Mhmmm, yeah. I honestly don't want to leave if I don't have to. My goal is to read all the books in this library. I've read all of them on the first floor and I'm almost done the second. I don't have a very high talent for blood magic so I like to focus on what I'm good at, and that's studying." Celeste leaned in and looked around. "Not many people know this but if I read anything without breaking my focus I can remember it forever. So even if this library burns down, I will eventually be able to restore most of it."
Kaizer wasn't dumb, he instantly thought of the future and securing Celeste as a piece in his castle. The more she read, the more valuable she would become. However, she is also a double edged sword, if someone captures her and tortures her..... she may leak intel.... Kaizer snapped back to reality.
Kaizer: Uh, what do you think about the Smoke White Fists I picked up. I know that it's the strongest fist technique on the second floor. A lot of our stronger fighters chose weaker arts and exceled because they were easier to learn. The thing with Smoke White Fists, even though it is our best fist art on the second floor..... it is also our hardest art to learn on this floor and breaking through is quite mysterious. Some even waste years on this art
Celeste: Well, you know the only way to figure out if you should do it right? You should read over it, see if it resonates with you and try to practice it and see if you have any improvements. All of the vampire princes have been given hand to hand combat training with the Imperial Teacher so they should have the basics down already.
