In a parallel universe,in fact in the one next to our own was a world we could only dream of... a world for the arcane; 100,ney! 1000's of years ago the beings of magic in that world learnt how to move between worlds by way of something akin to a bridge,taught by a single supreme race or rather,being.Among all the magic-folk in the world there was a race called the 'Suprema' but like the forest elves they were known to be kind and gentle ,while at others were said to be more vicious than even the were-folk on a full moon or even the berserkers...

As time went on the other tribes consumed by war and greed grew smaller, weaker .While the Suprema's number did begin to dwindle they only grew stronger till there was only 12...

Those 12 where said to have all ascended towards a higher plane of existence but their story is one for another time.
