Chapter 2 - prologue : Naming

We set our sights on a young boy ,no older than 6.He walks with his head hung low and his arms in chains, being pulled on my a man on a horse ,his big dark eyes almost frozen open by the cold mountain air.The frigid mountain snow descends faster than normal, maybe because he no longer has hope in his heart that someone will come save him from the life ahead of him ,growing up in a modern town his life was nothing like this he always had a warm jacket and some hot cocoa waiting for him when his mom was around but now that life of his is over.

He walks faster fearing that he will freeze here in the mountains ,his body starting to become more and more fatigued ,his legs give out under him

The man does not pay him any heed

he continues to drag the body of the child onwards towards the summit...

The child freezing ,almost giving up on life itself as the ice hits his face and his body is dragged across the landscape ,almost lifelessly he continues to watch as the man just continues forward.

They come to a stop ,a woman dressed clad in black armour looking as if it was from an older time when swords and bows were the best of weapons ,It looked worn as if it had seen the ugly face of war and battle more that once in its life time while still looking pristine from how diligently the woman was maintaining it ,she stands above the boy ,reaching down to pick him up ,instead she grabs the chains which bind his arms and pulls him into the gates of a huge building...

The boy is brought inside he is placed on his knees in front of a man dressed pristinely in a black suit ,the man looks down on the boy ,the boy looks up to meet his gaze.

The man still on his horse says "55"

The well dressed gentleman still looking at the boy says "No, I will not buy this boy!"

he continues on :"You !will give him to me !"

"And why's that ?" asks the horseman

"Why you ask,Think of it as the cost of coming here or rather the cost of me not killing you " the well dressed gentleman

replies

The horseman grips onto what seems to be a sword at his side ,he snickers and rushes out through the gates making as much progress away from there as he can...

The old man now speaks to the boy :"What is your name?"

the child replies "I have none."

His mother always taught him not to tell strangers his name

The old man scanned over the boy looking at his hair and eyes looking almost into his soul and says "Ash,that is your name"

The old man looks at the the woman in the corner who brought him inside "Shadow!unchain this boy, immediately!"

Shadow runs forward and slices the chains off of ashes arms ,he stares at her in amazement as if he'd just seen an angel ,The man continues "...Ash,you are one of us now, we will teach you the way of the sword but you must do as we say...I am K , You can call me old K"

Ash looks at the man in confusion "old k?okay ,old K!"he giggles

Old K begins to speak again "Get some rest you'll need it we begin training tomorrow

..." he wants to continue but restrains himself.
