Mikan's POV
"Her name is Yuna hmmm...nothing special in this girl. Her family is not known...hmmm?! not rich, her grades are just average...nothing interesting..." said by the blonde hair girl in a twin ponytail while reading a student file standing at the corner of the student council room. She is one of the student council officers, the same year as me, Eri Miyamoto. She belongs to a family of politicians so she thinks of herself highly. Why do I know? We studied at the same school since kindergarten and she never changes since then.
"...ah! Why do I even bother to look at her details! This is sooo... frustrating!" She suddenly shouted out in frustration while throwing the file in the air. Papers had scattered down the floor.
All of us in the room stare at her as we arrange papers on the long table in the middle of the room.
"There are more important things to look into...we have a bunch of documents to sort out here. Please stop wasting time there." I said in a plain tone.
She raised her eyebrow at me and look at me intently.
On my very first day as a student council president. Why do I have to deal with too many time wasters?
"This is very important President..."
She replied to me with very eager eyes.
"This is for the sake of all students here. This is about Akira. For all the students who are looking up to him, admire him, and working hard to get his attention. If we cannot solve this mystery then we will be doom..."
...uh, what the hell is that reason.
"And when did this Akira became the most important matter in this school? You are just making stupid excuses. Please start working now or I will throw you out here." I said trying to compose myself...
"Tsk! Unbelievable, President you are the only girl I know who doesn't have any interest in Akira. Are you somehow more interested in girls..."
"Do you really want to be here or do you want to be thrown away. I can literally throw you out now..." I said looking at her with raging eyes.
She was terrified by my reaction..."hai...hai...calm down President. Can't you take a joke...I know, I know, you don't have interest in anyone at all aside from your studies and you are patiently waiting for a perfect guy..."
"Will you start working or not!" I said showing my clenched fist this time.
She immediately moves as she pouted. She turned her head away and move back to the table and start arranging papers.
I took a deep breath out.
Hmmn? But I'm wondering... if there is really nothing special about that girl...How did she get into our school then?
This is an elite school. A person from an average-earner family will not be able to afford to enroll here. Not unless she receives a scholarship but that is only possible if she has outstanding achievements, not just high grades. But with her appearance I can't think of it...but why I am thinking about this now. I don't really care about her.
...(sigh!) that was very tiring. That was too much for my first day in student council but still, we are not finished yet.
I feel like my head will separate from my body.
I put my hand at the back of my head and slowly massage it.
"Is that who they said, Akira's girlfried?"
"Yeah...she looks so stupid standing there. "
"She is probably waiting for Akira but who would wait that long, she was there for almost two hours hi..hi..hi...so stupid right?"
I heard from two girls talking in the hallway.
"Ah President! Good afternoon..."
They paused and greeted me by surprise as I passed by quietly.
After that, It's already dark when I came out of school.
I was reading inside our car. The road was congested so we are stuck there for almost half an hour now.
"You are studying again young miss?"
Asked by Mr. Akito. This old man has been our family driver even before I was born. He knows our family very well.
"My apology for my protrusiveness young miss but I think at your age it's important to have some fun as well."
"I understand you are concern about me but at this moment I don't want to waste my time like those in my age. I have to study hard now so that I can be the best for my future self this is what I have decided."
I replied to him while I continue reading my book.
"Is that so...but you can only be in high school once. Walking together to school or even going home together with friends might also be a good experience young miss."
I pause reading and look at him. He lightly smiles at the rearview mirror.
"But I don't think it will be fun for me..." I said turning my head at the left window.
"Eh?" I was surprised looking outside of my car window. A famillar person was standing at the bridge near where we stopped.
"Wait! What does this person thinking now?"
"Young miss? Is there any problem?" My driver asked.
I did not hear him clearly. I immediately went out of the car and ran towards that bridge.
That person...just because of a guy.
"Wait! Stop don't do that." I shouted on top of my voice but this person is about to jump now. I ran with all might to be able to reach her and without thinking, I raised my arms to grabbed her from behind before she jumps but the force is too strong I was as well pulled down by her...
In my mind, all I think is that this kind of person is the one I hate most. Why does my life mess up by her...I hate you so much, Yuna.
