Bian stared as the girl with a headscarf left his office. Seeing the girl shaking her head, he tried to guess what the girl thought when she heard his fight with Ristie. She must have thought that he was a weak man. Maybe all the employees at this headquarters considered him weak too. But who cared what the girl or those people thought about him?
Bian took a deep breath. He was unable to think. He really loved Ristie. He didn't want to disappoint her. Bian was willing to do whatever she wanted without thinking.
He didn't care about the strange looks and ridicule from his subordinates when he left important meetings at his company or canceled a meeting with a client when Ristie asked him to take her to wherever the girl wanted, even if it was to tidy up her appearance at the salon!
But this time, he felt helpless. Ristie had asked him to accompany her to attend the launching of her favorite fashion brand, while the client he wanted to meet tonight. Mr. Robert had requested to meet with him in person and not be represented by anyone for a meeting to discuss the trillions-worth of project deals.
Bian felt a headache. He had never refused Ristie's request. Because of that, Ristie was always sweet to him, but his refusal this time had led to Ristie's anger.
Damn it!
Meanwhile, after leaving the President Director's office, Mumut cleaned up her equipment then headed for the pantry. She opened her locker, took out a book, and read it. Mumut then scribbled on her notebook to make a resume of the book she was reading. Tonight, she was going to meet with her thesis supervisor to consult her thesis revision.
Mumut didn't even notice that one of the Office Boys was sitting next to her. It was Hari, and he had liked Mumut for a long time, but the girl never responded to his feelings. Hari was quite handsome, and many girls liked him.
"You're very diligent, Mut,"
"Hey, Hari. It's better than doing nothing."
"Do you have anything to do tonight?" asked Hari, hopefully. He gave her his sweetest smile to attract Mumut.
"I'm going to meet my thesis supervisor for a consultation." Mumut didn't even take her eyes off the book she was reading.
Ugh ... Hari complained to himself, how hard it is to get attention from this girl. Mumut was not the type of girl who liked to chat when she had free time. She preferred to read, whether it was a book or the Koran.
"So you're already working on your thesis, huh? In a little while, you'll be a Bachelor!" said Hari spontaneously.
"Yes, please pray that it will go smoothly."
"When you've become a bachelor, will you continue to work here?"
"I don't know yet. If there is a vacancy, I do want to stay here."
Hari grumbled. Mumut was still busy with her own activities. She didn't even bother to look up from the book.
"Hey, don't just sit there and flirt! Hari, Mrs. Padma wants you to change the water gallon in her office!" Harti's bossy voice startled both of them. Harti was the person in charge of the Pantry.
Hari stood up reluctantly. He grumbled as he headed to Padma's office.
Harti looked at Mumut, who seemed so engrossed in writing on her book.
"Mut, it's Mr. CEO's drink, take it to his office!" She ordered Mumut. She put a tray with a cup of coffee on it. She always left that task to Mumut because she wanted to relax.
Harti never liked it when there were people who didn't have anything to do while she did. Yet, she was very kind to Mumut and even supported Mumut's desire to go to college. She also often helped Mumut because Mumut didn't mind helping Harti take the CEO's drink to his room.
Mumut immediately tidied up her things and put everything back in the locker, and then without a word, she immediately brought the tray of drink to the CEO's office.
