Chapter 19 - Heart Monitor

Beep, Beep, Beep,

The monitor slowly breathes;

The oxygen's deemed fatal,

As the gasping enforces greed.

Don't pull the plug

Because we want them alive,

Even if it means their life is painful;

They must live, making everyone else gratified.

Don't pull the plug

Because they'll get better --

Keep them living unless I say they're cut

because I choose the air,

No matter the strain.

Pull the plug,

Because life is never-ending;

The desperation never fulfills the injury,

As the sufferer will never breathe.

Death is never the end,

But a new start;

The body is the shell,

But the soul is immortal.

Pull the plug,

And end their pain,

Don't force a longer life,

All because you're standing by.

The mind is eternal,

The prisoner cannot see

How gluttonous you've become,

As you choose their end.

The monitor says zero,

Because the soul was okay leaving,

CPR doesn't always save

Those that are okay rebirthing.

Those that continue the fatality

Are fearful and insecure,

So others must suffer,

While the stabbing is ignored.

Beep, Beep, Beep,

You cry desperately

Wondering, "why me?"

Rather than wondering why the suffered had perished,

And wanted a new living.

Instead, you're sad that they've died,

But you don't realize that they're standing,

And glaring.
