Chapter 6 - Yellow Envelope

Sealed shut,

Bright like Spring

And enthusiasm all portrayed outside,

While a surprise hides inside.

.

A white card's trapped purity

Innocence evokes childhood feelings,

tucked away,

Resembling a yellow bedsheet.

.

The white card's imprinted Owl stares blankly,

Stoic emotion; acknowledging the imagined positivity,

The envelope and letter glued together

Like a toddler and a mother's tight bond.

.

The card is opened,

Revealing tiny words and long paragraphs,

Memories remembering the brightness she gives

The Pin Man; his hands fantasize having her delicate wings.

.

His happiness gone hitherto nine years

The Lady bird leads an obsessed flock,

The beetle Queen,

Is so lovely.

.

The card is closed

As the man pours heart and soul.

The Owl stares blankly,

Sorry as the victim is chosen β€”

.

The insect knows

And has become a broach.

.

No longer positive

Is the Owl,

Its wisdom and mystery

Jut the fleet and beetle creeps.
