"I thought it was supposed to be spring time here," I waved my book trying to fan myself as we waited outside for the car to pull up.
"It's bloody Australia," Baen moaned in misery. He peeked up when two well built surfers walked past. "The view is nice tho."
"You are way too obvious," I murmured pulling on my shirt trying to catch a bit of breeze.
It felt like the air stuck to me. There were flies the size of birds. Of course that is an exaggeration but moments like these, it made me feel homesick. Homesick for cold dreary London. Homesick to days in a chair with a book and Arthur doing paperwork.
Arthur walked up to my other side. "Are you feeling okay?"
I cocked an eyebrow. "Yea… it's just hot."
He nodded as he assessed me with concern.
"Let me know if you need a break at any time we can go straight to the hotel."
"What the hell is wrong with you?" I snapped. "My mother doesn't even care this much."
"Your mother doesn't care about anything other than the nectar of the gods," Baen murmured.
Arthur seemed confused and frustrated.
"Wine!" I snapped. "The man is talking about wine. My mother is an alcoholic."
"I know what he meant," Arthur grumbled. "But that's still your mother he is talking about."
"I would take more offense in him mocking my great aunt Agnes," I retorted.
"Who's that?" Baen quipped.
"You don't have a great aunt Agnes," Arthur pointed out.
"Exactly," I stepped off the walkway when I saw our car pull up.
As we drove down the sunny streets of Sydney I could not help but stick my nose to the window ogling the bridge and opera house.
"Is this your first time?" Arthur asked over Baen.
Clearly he was referring to me and it made Baen uncomfortable being between us.
"Yes," I responded.
"Then tonight will be a treat for you," he said casually.
"What's tonight?" Baen asked.
"Nothing for you," Arthur said snapped. I thought it was hilarious he was still jealous of Baen. The man was clearly an idiot and did not pick up on social ques very well.
"For Lilly and I. We have been invited to a tribal ceremony and run for the Ongala pack."
"What does that entail?" I turned to my husband, looking over Baen.
"Covering our naked bodies in honey and taking hallucinogens," Arthur quipped not even looking up from his phone.
"I'm in," Baen raised his hand.
"He's joking," I realized aloud. "He would never let me be naked infront of others."
"Correct," Arthur ticked away on his phone.
"So what is it really?" I asked.
"You'll see," he said.
They dressed me in a tube dress that kept falling down over my newly ample breasts. I was insecure at how large my chest was getting. The dress would be easy to get on and off during the change. But it was tight enough to show off the changes in my body. I was trying to keep the news to myself as long as I could. I did not want to lose Arthur's attention just yet. But even so I knew I had to be careful with the change because I was carrying.
Arthur growled when he saw my clothes but I smirked knowing at least he got jealous. That was something right? He cared in that way.
There was a big bon fire in the middle of the desert when we arrived. People chatted casually with drinks in their hands. It was very calm and oddly titillating.
Arthur put his hand on my thigh as we pulled up.
"You need to know something," he whispered before we got out.
"Don't tell me you have a woman or kids here," I groaned.
"No," he snorted. "But they have no laws when it comes to mating. Just because we are legally married, they will see you as fair game."
"Oh great." I huffed. "Well, your under no ob…."
Before I could finish my words his lips locked on mine silencing me. When he pulled back I was breathless.
My wolf demanded to be underneath him. She wanted everything he had to give and the way his eyes glowed I could tell his wolf wanted the same.
"We will make this meeting quick," he whispered against my lips. "But can I ask a favour?"
"What?" I breathed in his scent.
I felt his hand slide up my thigh. "Can I touch you? Just a moment? I need to be close to you."
I spread my thighs wide letting him do as he wanted.
His hand went up my dress and moved my panties aside, touching me gently.
"Is this all about sex to you?" The words fell out of my mouth and quickly I was embarrassed. "Never mind," I snapped. "Let's go." I pushed passed him and opened the door. I caught him sucking his fingers clean but I ignored it.
A dark skinned man approached us covered in a white chalk like substance.
He smiled brightly his white teeth striking. His arms were outstretched. "Welcome to Ogala!"
