"What happened? You look pale..." Jess enquired.
She didn't want to say anything to her because she felt it was the most stupidest and the most embarassing thing she has ever done till now.
"Nothing" she replied and collapsed on the sofa.
Jess asked in worry. "Don't hide it tell me what happened."
"Nothing my dear. I'm fine" she assured her which seemed least appealing.
"What news have you got by the way?" she changed the topic.
"You guess"
"Mmm...you got a job?"
"Yes....." she jumped in exitment. "That too in Frexell HMC"
"What?" Keren stood up. "Frexell HMC?"
"It's hard to believe right? At first I couldn't digest too. After they called me and sent me some confirmation messages and all, I manged to digest"
"When are you going to join?"
"Tomorrow. And you should come with me" she demanded.
"Why?"
"Coz you are a lucky charm."
"I don't think so..."
"I have applied a lot of times but I didn't get the job. But when you applied for me, here it is.....I got a job offer from one of the top hotel management companies in the world."
"That's because you have talent girl."
Keren didn't believe in superstitious things, but she indeed was a lucky charm. As per Jessi, whenever she went to watch football matches the team she supported won and if she didn't watch it then the team lose.
"It depends in the hardwork and passion. Don't be superstitious Jess" she said as she always do.
"Anyway you should come with me. Ok? "
"Fine" she assured.
----------------------------------------
Keren looked up. The building was like a mountain in which it was written 'Frexell' in bold capital letters. Strong winds were were passing which made both of their hair go wild.
"Luckily I'm wearing jeans" she said looking towards Jessi who totally agreed with her.
Keren kept on staring the building, from the inside she was thinking how it will be to work in there, while Jessi spotted a white car extremely dashing, heading towards them. It stopped at the main entrance of the company a little further from where they stood. It's back door opened and a man in grey business outfit with a sunglass hanged in his pocket emerged.
"Keren look... "She screamed towards Karen who was still in her thinking.
"Keren..."she shouted near her ear.
"Ahh...why are you shouting?"she asked.
"Look" she pointed towards the man walking towards the entrance.
He seemed familiar. Very familiar.
'What the... ' she screamed in her mind.
'No...no... no..no... it can't be him. God please.....no...no'
She pleaded to God, but it couldn't please him.
The man noticed her just as he was going to enter and stopped there for a second to have a look at the girl.
She saw him looking straight at her.
'Shit.....'
She ran from there as fast as she could and got into a taxi parked there. Jessi didn't understand why she ran. She followed her but couldn't catch her. She couldn't go after her as it was almost the time for her to join. She called her a couple of times but there was no answer.
-------------
The clock showed seven pm and Jessi was not back yet. Keren was alone at home. After the morning incident she directly came home and didn't do anything than sitting and thinking. No sleep, no food, no going out, only thinking.
After sometime, the door bell rang and Keren opened the door for Jessi. Immediately she hugged her and said, "You are indeed a lucky charm"
Keren just stood there in her grips without any motion.
"You know, It was a wonderful day I even got a chance to speak to..." Jessi stopped. Keren was not even hugging her back and just stood there like a statue. She let go of her and asked, "What happened? Yesterday also you were like this. Just tell me Keren"
Keren led her to the sofa. Both of them adjusted themselves and Keren started, "Jess, you know that I sometimes behave like a kid"
Jess nodded.
"So kids are mischievous right? "
Jess again nodded.
"So I did a small mischief. Just a small one"
Jess nodded again indicating to tell her.
"I kissed someone"
Jess remained normal.
"In an elevator"
Still she remained normal like it was no big deal.
"And that person is the one who you showed me today morning"
Jess widened her eyes, "Who?"
With embarrassment lowering her head she said, "The one which got out of the car in front of the company"
Jessi's jaw fell on the floor. Her heart jumped to her hands. Her vocal cords were not working. For two three minutes she stood in disbelief.
"C... cr....istoff...F... f.. ex..ell.... " she mumbled.
"What?" Keren asked.
"You kissed Cristoff Frexell?"
"I don't know who he was actually"
"Oh God.....you kissed Cristoff Frexell"
Keren didn't have any idea who he was.
"Oh my...my... no wonder he spoke to me" her eyes still widened.
"Wait...what? He talked to you?"
