I stayed quiet for a while thinking over what Joshua had just said. I couldn't start thinking of staying here when the people that I left in my homeworld were in danger. I was already many hours late from meeting them. To be honest, I didn't want to look at the internal clock anymore. This was all too much for me to take. If I left Serif, they were convinced that the whole world would collapse because of the imbalance that it had been under for the past eight hundred years. These people needed me, their whole world needed me to survive, but it didn't make sense.
