4| Fourth Chapter
Joanne remembered the day that her father finally lost his remaining fatherly side and threw Joanne away from his million worth of house and leaving Joanne with nothing but her expensive looking clothes that she's wearing that day.
He was so done with a daughter that cost so much trouble to his wealthy known family. Having Joanne as a daughter is a blessing and curse at the same time but Mr. Blake can't handle the latter.
It was actually annoying for Joanne for not getting any pieces of her comfortable clothes or having some decent money in her pocket to rent a room or buy a place but she managed. Joanne lives.
She is walking with her head high and above, not minding what just happened to her. Joanne is in fact happy about it. It was the happiest day for her except that she doesn't have anything.
House, money and food. She was sure that his father will cut all her credit cards and her mother will never stop him for making her life miserable. There is nothing left to her but her gorgeous face.
She doesn't have any relatives that will help her. She doesn't even have a friend. Boyfriends are not on Joanne's list because she doesn't have the energy to explain and dramatise everything.
Then she remembered someone. Someone named Sage Klein, the one that offered to be friends with her.
Sage's reason? The monolid said that it felt like there is nothing fun in her life and school except knowing Joanne, that Sage saw something good about the certain 'Blake' that no one can see but often talk about the bad side.
Sage is really a weird person, Joanne thought.
One time Sage was scolding Joanne for being bad then the next day, Sage wanted to be friends with the older girl.
That moment Sage is the only person Joanne knows that will help her, so she made a decision.
And she's now battling that choice she made before, whether she regrets it or not because Sage Klein became someone that Joanne didn't want to be part of her life in the first place.
