Chapter 33 - Chapter 32

"I crossed the bridge

I saw other lives

The helping hands of everyone gathered

Fellows have taught me how to fly

And I made my world full of cravings

I'll call upon the Phoenix again to the happiness

Behind the dreams are the secrets

Calling me from the inside

I'll go after it, flying recklessly", Taeyan finished his writing and placed the pencil on his table. Looked back and realized that Cera has been fall slept. It's been a month, they've passed their exams successfully. The tests were a little difficult for Taeyan, but he solved them great with his friends' help. It was such a rigid summer that passed without doing anything unconventional. They were on watch, contested each other in order to avoid their boring days and Taeyan went to the blacksmith to learn Elino's art of blacksmithing. He was interested in that since he had learned blacksmithing from Edward. This career comforted him and he's made two daggers for his friends that have been given to them on their birthdays and now autumn was appearing with yellow leaves on trees.

It was the sixth day of the second month of the fall while Taeyan was caressing Chegool gently starring at the sky in which clouds were smoothly passing over the moon, making an eye-catching prospect. Cera and Daria have not come to visit him that day. So, he was very upset because looked everywhere to find them and could not find any sign. First, he thought maybe after their last adventure they won't take him with them for the sake of his title. He was wrapped in his thoughts that suddenly Sarya rushed into the room and said, "Move, sitting here while we need every single person, we must go now."

Taeyan wondered jumped on his feet and asked "What's wrong?"

Sarya grabbed his hand and insisted, "Let's go. I'll tell you later." She was obviously worried about something that made Taeyan rush into the small family hall. His heartbeats rose as he remembered the last ceremony in that hall. Master Maina, who was laid on the bier. Those pictures flashed across his gaze, when the door got opened, golden powders were splashed into his face, and some of it entered his mouth which was fairly unpleasant.

"What's happening in here?" he asked in shock.

Cera hugged him and said cheerfully, "Happy birthday!" Taeyan was still upset and said, "Cera let go of me. You're squeezing me. I was looking for you the entire day."

Daria came along and said, "Sorry, but we wanted to surprise you."

Taeyan whispered, "My birthday, I've forgotten all about that." Before he even didn't know the date of his birthday, meanwhile now he does but forgot.

"But it's not only your birthday," Cera said,

"I know. It's also Suran's birthday, but he's so distant lately." Taeyan replied. Since the last argument between them, they didn't talk.

"Skip it. Don't be upset. Tonight is yours." Sarya said that smiling.

The little Dennis came the whole way to him with her small lovely steps, raised his hands to get hugged. The children of Farya could talk by the age of seven and could go to school by the age of 14.

He heard a voice from the back which said, "She's right. Have fun and enjoy the party. Tonight is yours."

"Now, I'm hallucinating that my brother's here and I can hear his voice," Taeyan said dully,

"Can you also see me in your hallucinations?" Suran stood by his side took Dennis from his arms and said with a mysterious smile. Then he went away. Seemed the tiff between the two had faded away.

The king was the last person who came and hugged his son, "Happy birthday…son. I wish you long-lasting happiness."

Taeyan thanked, "I've never had a birthday. I don't know what to do!"

"Just have fun with your friends and help yourself." The king responded, but in heart, he felt ashamed that his son had spent a life with no celebration.

"Are you still mad at me?" Taeyan asked.

"Not anymore. You've been punished enough."

"Can we talk with each other later?"

The king replied, "Why not? Come to the library after the celebration. Now, it's better to join others. It's your birthday party."

It was such a lovely night for Taeyan especially when he found out that his brother's made his birthday cake. Cera had so many chocolate and strawberries that led to dizziness and fainting. Suran was smiling again after months of trying to spend some quality time with everyone. He felt truly regretful about his harsh behavior with his brother trying to compensate for that.

Jay and Kai's behavior was totally changed; they fooled Cera less than before and it was related to the mission king had given them. No one knew whether they'll return or not. All people in Farya was aware of the big tournament in which only ten would be chosen for the big mission out of 120 contributors.

They need to join groups of ten and contest each other. They all knew the goal of the tournament, but nobody would like to talk about that. When the party was almost finished, Daria went toward Taeyan and said, "Cera's fainted, but I would say on his behalf that do your best to get the king's approval. Besides, happy birthday again."

Taeyan Thanked and said, "Don't worry. I'll do my best."

He left afterward, and Jay took Cera with him scolding him for his overeating. Cera couldn't control his stomach through foods even though he knew that his body will fail. Taeyan had to talk with his father alone to take his satisfaction to let them take part in the tournament. He had no hope for the agreement, but it was a blind shot, maybe worked maybe not. He passed the hall, the door was open so he entered the king's library and saw him with a stone tablet in his hand that he was carefully reading it and didn't even notice his presence.
