"Jarod," Arlyn strained out, though a small smile appeared on her face, the white-haired prince was making those stupid jokes once again. "Please, for me?" She placed the small container of chicken nuggets on the table next to him.
"Fine." In a flash, they were gone and he swallowed. "Happy now?"
"I'm not even sure you ate them. . ." Arlyn trailed off, narrowing her eyes slightly. Jarod rolled his grey eyes and felt annoyance build up in his chest.
"If you would prefer I could just throw them up and prove to you that I ate them? Though I can't promise I'll eat them again." Arlyn pushed up off the table she had been leaning on.
"Fine, I'll trust you."
