Jarod felt his eyes flutter open into that familiar white plane. The same one that Dark Jarod had taken him to and tortured him with his words.
His words of truth. He turned his head to the right, his grey eyes shining in the bright plane of existence and his eyes widened as he saw Ryan and Ellie standing side-by-side just a few feet away from him.
"It's you!" Jarod suddenly cried out as he took several steps towards both of them and wrapped his arms around their necks and pulling them closer to him. "I missed you both so much it hurts, it really does."
"Big brother," Ellie began, her high-pitched voice echoing in his ears as an emotionless tone. "You're tainted." Jarod physically flinched as he took a step back, disengaging the hug with his two former loved ones.
"W-What do you mean, Ellie? I'm fine just the way I am. . ." He tried reasoning, his voice shaking slightly.
