Chapter 25 - The Beast race mystery (I)

Having been reunited with his beloved vixen, Xieren had promptly requested Kumiho that they be accessed into the clan compounds for vacation purposes...

With the trio now in their own personal guest manor, Xieren had decided that his disciple's training begin once again where they had left off.

"Hmm... Mortal Knight." He announced, smiling widely at the little girl that grinned excitedly, both sporting similar expressions.

"Hehe Is that good, master?" Xiao Ling asked him curiously, hoping to be praised by the man that she had been idolising for a few months...

"Good? This is excellent! You truly are talented..." Xieren exclaimed, feeling nostalgic over the words he had spoken, he then pat her head, kneeling down to her level.

"Xiao Ling, you have already completed the basic stage of fighting, and can utilize your Qi perfectly, upto the level of a Mortal Sword. Today, we will get you, used to much higher levels of Qi as you have now ascended into the Mortal Knight realm..." Explaining the various aspects of cultivation was by far the worst thing someone could do... It was too long yet, too important...

She listened to his words keenly as to not disappoint her master, a hidden fear of hers. Xiao Ling had been abducted by a Demonic sect, and her life prior to Xieren's intervention was one of misery.

Having been living most of her life in the slums, she had seen things that no-one at her age should have seen. She didn't no who her mother was, let alone her own father.

She was Xiao Ling and that was it. Nobody would pick her up and nobody cared...

And yet, her innocence had been yet to be tainted by the ugliness of the world, meeting Xieren was her light, and also her darkness.

As much as she would idolise her master, she knew that deep down, he would be her weakness... one that would cause her severe headaches when she would think too deeply.

Her childish act would break as she would dive deeper, therefore Xiao Ling could only repay the man with being the best disciple she could be, without causing him any problems... following his each and every order and word, whether they were evil or not.

Xieren frowned when he felt the Qi within his disciple's body churn sporadically, she seemed to be absentminded too.

'Weird...' He noted, waving his hand around her eyes to get her to come back.

"Earth to Xiao Ling?" Xieren spoke softly as to not spook the little girl, Xiao Ling flinched, realising she had been caught red handed at day dreaming...

"I... I..." She fumbled upon her words, not knowing what she should say, her eyes tearing up as she looked down.

"What's wrong little one?" He inquired worriedly, embracing the little girl, feeling her little figure tremble, he turned to Akagi who had been glaring at Kumiho, whom too had countered with an equally bad glare...

Akagi frowned when he saw her husband look troubled, his disciple crying on him as his eyes pleaded for help.

"We will continue this some other time" Akagi spoke, informing the lady with fox ears who snorted and replied in a mirthful like tone, "I agree, we do have all the time in the world!" Kumiho smiled, the two then walked over to Xiao Ling.

"Xiao Ling, come to big sis" Akagi cooed as the little girl slowly trotted over to her side.

Kumiho had been waiting with her arms open and yet Xiao Ling had completely ignored the woman.

Akagi glanced at Kumiho with amusement evident in her eyes as she lifted up the girl and carried her away.

"Grr! That woman..." Kumiho struck the floor with her hand as Xieren sighed.

"Kumiho, that 'woman' is also my wife!" He reprimanded his lover whose ears drooped in shame, Kumiho's tails were now flat, a sign of fear...

"I'm sorry..." She mumbled, looking up at him with her big teary eyes.

"You will forgive me right?" She asked him, her mouth pouting cutely as Xieren's face darkened.

"Enough, I'm serious!" He narrowed his eyes at her as she shivered, "I did not come here for you and my wife to start fighting like children, you will solve this as adults whether you like it or not!" He stated.

Kumiho sighed, "It will be done, Your Lordship..." She then turned around to walk away only to be held back and brought over to Xieren.

"Look... I'm sorry it had go this way, and I know you are upset. But can you please solve this peacefully? I don't want to lose anyone over the other..." He whispered, kissing her cheek and groping her rear.

Xieren then slapped her buttocks as she yelped and covered herself with her fluffy tails.

"You..." Kumiho playfully glared at the man and harrumphed.

"I'm sorry for scolding you so harshly" He smiled apologetically.

"Hmph! You cave in too easily!" She replied.

"I can never come to be angry with any of you two!" Xieren exclaimed with a grin as he winked at her.

"Your Lordship is such a sweet talker..." Kumiho pouted, she left him a piece of folded paper and entered the manor, and left from the entrance back to her own...

Xieren opened the paper and smiled, he would have an appointment with his seductive little vixen, he was still stuck on his thoughts, remembering her hips swaying in exaggerated motions that only set ablaze his burning desire.

Akagi who had been comforting Xiao Ling saw her husband still staring at a piece of paper and frowned, 'He's acting suspicious... that woman also laughed at me as she passed by...' Akagi grumbled,

"Did that vixen perhaps, invite you to her manor tonight, Milord?" Akagi interrogated Xieren who cowered under her gaze.

"Yeah... but I was wondering if you are interested in joining me, so we can go together?" He suggested, hoping his wife would agree.

Xieren smiled in anticipation and gazed into her eyes, moving closer, he placed his hand on her cheek and kissed her forehead as she blushed at the sudden intimacy...

"I would love to... however, Xiao Ling will be alone in the manor..." She informed, her lips curling at the mentioning of the little girl.

"You really like her huh?" Xieren chuckled in amusement, Akagi could only shrug, "She reminds of myself a lot... and I think of her as a daughter of mine..." She then turned away.

"Don't get too late Milord, I will be having dinner so we can go to bed by the time you come..." Akagi said so and walked away hurriedly as Xieren shook his head and followed after her.

'She just invited me to bed didn't she?' Xieren giggled internally and hummed.

Getting ready to meet with his mistress, scandalous, one could say and yet it was all too normal in this world...
