Chapter 20 - 020 | hang out day (3)

"So this is where we will part, huh," Yvonne couldn't believe how the time passed by. "I want to hang out a bit more, but I still have something to do in the afternoon."

"I feel the same way," Samantha agreed. "But yeah, I need to go because of our school assignments."

"You should be able to finish it on time, Samantha!" Cassie cheered.

"If you say so, then I think I will," Samantha smiled.

"Let's see each other tomorrow," Cassie waved her right hand.

Yvonne waved her left hand. "Let's."

Cassie had fun hanging out with Samantha and Yvonne. She hoped to hang out with them again next time if there was a chance of free time.

It took Cassie 35 minutes to arrive at the house of the Lee Family. She pressed the doorbell to notify Natasha that she arrived. It took Natasha two minutes to open the door for her.

Cassie gave Natasha a tight hug. "It's a delight to see you, Nat!"

Natasha returned the tight hug and then chuckled. "You miss me that much, Cass?"

Both of them let go of each other.

"I do!" she answered. "Why I wouldn't, Nat?"

Natasha cringed. "That's a lot of sugar, Cass."

"You think so?" she asked. "I'm honored that I, at least, have some sugar."

"Yeah, yeah," Natasha agreed in a sarcastic tone. "Just come in, will you?"

She came in and then Natasha closed the door.

She looked around to find where Diana was, but she didn't find Diana. "Where's Aunt Diana, Nat?"

She knew Bryan had work and would always work late during weekends, but Diana should be home since she had no work during Sundays. So she asked Natasha about it.

"Mum will come home late since she told me she would attend a high school class reunion," Natasha answered.

"Oh," she nodded. "It makes sense why Aunt Diana isn't here."

"So what should we do?" Natasha asked.

"I can't eat food or watch a movie again. I just went to eat and watch a movie earlier," she answered.

"Hm," Natasha pondered, but she couldn't even think of anything. "You don't play games that much, so that's out of the list. And I'm not in the mood for group study, so that's also out of the list."

"Well, I do want to hang out with you, not to study with you, Nat," she pointed.

She was serious about escaping to go home once this planned hang out turned to be some sort of Natasha's Study Camp instead.

Natasha had something in mind, so she would ask Cassie. "Are you all right coming with me at the grocery store, Cass?"

She didn't mind. "Yeah, I'm all good, but is there something you want to buy there?"

Natasha nodded. "I do have. I want to cook something, but our fridge doesn't have those ingredients, so I'll purchase it."

"Let's go then," she opened the main door to go out.

Liam took a rest on the bench after a long walk. He considered purchasing a drink from the near vending machine, but he saw someone that caught his attention. He saw Natasha and she was with someone else whom he wasn't familiar with.

He observed where would Natasha and that someone go. He found out that both of them entered the grocery store. He decided to compose a message to Natasha that he saw her, so he fished his phone in the pocket of his pants.

He started to compose and then sent the message.

He stood up from the bench and then went to the near vending machine to purchase a cold water drink. He inserted coins and then pressed the Évian water drink. He took the drink once it fell to the take out part of the vending machine.

He twisted the cap open and then took a drink. He almost emptied the bottle. "Now that's refreshing!"

His thirst was quenched.

Natasha felt her phone vibrated, so she fished her phone in the pocket of her pants. She looked at her phone what was it and then she saw Liam sent a message. She unlocked to see what was the message about.

She was surprised Liam saw her, so she turned around to see if he was around, but she didn't see him. She composed a message where was he and then she sent it.

"Oh?" she didn't realize that Cassie was watching, so it startled her. "So you're messaging your new friend, Liam!"

"You surprised me, Cass," she sighed.

Cassie giggled. "I didn't mean to, you know." And then she smiled. "I'm really, really relieved you have a friend, so you won't be lonely at school, Nat."

She cracked a smile. "Thank you, Cass."

"Tell me if Mister Speaker would turn out to be a snake, so I can give him a beating!" Cassie did a strong muscle gesture.

She laughed. "Yeah, I will."
