Chapter 22 - 022 | adhesive bandage

Natasha nudged him with her left arm. "Senior Lawrence might misunderstand that again, Liam!" she hissed.

Liam didn't mind if that was the case. "Let Senior Lawrence be, Natasha."

She didn't want to make the situation worse, so she would attempt a reason to convince Liam. "But you and I will get into trouble, Liam!"

"You and I did nothing wrong, so why should we get into trouble, Natasha?" Liam asked. "If Senior Lawrence misunderstood it, then he must be a total idiot."

"Idiot?" Lawrence grabbed the collar of Liam. It didn't take long until a punch was stamped on the right cheek of Liam and it caused him to lose his balance that he fell on the floor. "You think I'm a fucking liar!?"

She knew Liam had a point, but she didn't want to make the situation worse, so she reasoned to convince Liam, but it all turned out to be the worst when Lawrence started this.

She could no longer bottle up what she felt about Lawrence, so she landed a roundhouse kick on the neck of Lawrence, causing him to wince in pain and almost got knocked out when he fell on the floor. It made all of the students—who were in the cafeteria—gasp or leave their food for a while to spectate what did just happen.

"I didn't know Queen of Hearts is capable of that kick," Isabella witnessed how the situation unfolded.

She wasn't done with him. "Shut your filthy mouth, you nasty fuck!" she pulled the hair of Lawrence. He squeaked. "You have hands, so free to grab a needle and thread, and sew your own damn mouth that emits nothing but stupidity, pure fucking stupidity!"

Liam couldn't believe that Natasha had this side. Based on what he saw from her, she was a girl who possessed one of a kind visual, a diligent student, and a role model of the students, but he didn't dislike this another side of her because, in his own opinion, it just made her cooler.

She didn't want to spend her time with Lawrence. She recalled that Liam got hurt, so she let go of the hair of Lawrence to rush where Liam was. She pulled Liam up to make him stand.

"Let's proceed in the school clinic, Liam," she still held the wrist of Liam and hauled him out of the cafeteria.

It didn't take them long to arrive at the school clinic. No one was inside the school clinic, so she made Liam sit on the chair. She searched for a cream that would treat his bruise, cotton, and an adhesive bandage.

She sat in front of Liam and then twisted the cap of the cream. She used the cotton to dip the cream and then applied it to his bruise.

"Look at that bruise," she clicked her tongue. "If you ignored Senior Lawrence from the start, this wouldn't happen to you."

Liam smiled. "But if that didn't happen, I wouldn't see you kicking some ass and spat a lot of heavy metal words, you know?"

She gave him a whack on his left arm which made him wince in pain. "You had me worried sick, Liam! Your parents would undoubtedly ask for this!"

After she applied the cream on the bruise of Liam, she peeled the backing of the adhesive bandage and glued it on his bruise.

Liam held her right wrist which surprised her. "I'm glad you're worried about me, but I didn't regret what I told earlier in the cafeteria. It's obvious Senior Lawrence started this and now he's all worked up after being called an idiot? What a joke."

"But it's much better to ignore someone like him, Liam," she didn't want to cause another trouble. "If I did, it's another trouble, I'm afraid it would make things complicated again."

"But I don't want others to misunderstand you further, Natasha," Liam reasoned. "Besides, this complicated stuff happens because of those people who make the situation difficult."

Liam and Natasha heard their growling stomach. It just dawned on them that they hadn't eaten their lunch yet.

She recalled that she forgot her packed lunch in the cafeteria. "Oh no! My packed lunch!"

Liam wouldn't able to concentrate in class if he left his stomach dry. "Looks like we need to go back and grab our food."

"But wouldn't it be bad if Senior Lawrence is still there?" she asked.

"I doubt Senior Lawrence is there, Natasha," Liam assumed that was the case. "If he is, then we have no choice, do we? It's not like he owns the cafeteria, right?"

"All right, we'll go back," she decided. "I believe if I don't eat something for lunch, I would lose focus in the next classes, and I don't want that to happen."

Liam was glad he had a friend like Natasha who defended her without a second doubt. He planned to set Lawrence up since he knew Means would arrive at the cafeteria around that time, so if Means caught Lawrence picking up a fight with him, Means would declare detention for Lawrence, but for some reason, Means didn't go to the cafeteria, so his plan got tanked.

He got to know the other side of Natasha when his plan tanked, so it wasn't bad on his part.
