"What are you doing out here all alone?"
She turned towards him at his question, it was hard to look up at him as she sat on the ground. "Nothing really, I just don't want to be cooped up in there." She gestured towards the building with her chin.
"I get what you mean. Can I join you?" As he asked, he pointed to the empty spot next to her.
She didn't answer immediately but turned her face away. "I don't see why not."
Kieran allowed himself a brief smile. "Well then, I guess you don't mind."
He sat down close enough that she could feel the heat radiating from his body. She felt a little weird and had to stiffen the urge to move away, it has been a while since she has been that close to anyone if one didn't count Callidora and the vampire was as cold as ice.
