"Why didn't you use your fangs?" I asked.
"What?"
"Your fangs, why didn't you used them on the man?" I thought it a little weird. I understood she not wanting to take the blood from his neck because like she said choice but why use her nails to cut his skin. Wouldn't using her fangs to dig in be easier and less messy.
She sighed before answering. "Vampires are very different from Altered. I can't tell you all the details right now but the reason I couldn't use my fangs is that I can't."
She stopped and when I saw she wasn't going to say anymore I asked, "What do you mean you can't?"
She turned back to look at me as if unsure how to answer this without spilling too much information. I frowned, she still didn't want to tell me anything. I wasn't about to give up but before I could ask the question again she began talking.
