I didn't realize we had spent hours talking until my stomach growled. He laughed in a child-like way where he threw his head back and just let it roll out of him. "Wanna go get something to eat?"
"Actually, I have to go." His face fell at my words and I could tell he was genuinely sad to see me go or he was pretty good at pretending to be. I almost wanted to stay but I couldn't, I couldn't begin to imagine what would happen if your royal evilness woke up before I could sneak back in. I terribly wanted to avoid that awkward moment and worst of all a lecture from her.
"That's too bad. Are you sure you can't stay? I could easily arrange a meal for you." He stuck out his lower lip as he spoke. Normally, I would find that disgusting but not today.
"I really wish I could but I can't. I really have to go." I rose from the pool lounge chair and began walking away.
"How long are you going to be at the hotel?" I called after me.
