For as far as I could see, one could only enter Atlantis through a tunnel that directly led to it. The tunnel was a few kilometres long and almost completely dark.
I had no doubt that there would be similar demonic detection crystals there as in Agartha.
Therefore, I waited until everyone entered. Beatrice was extremely nervus when she entered, but Noah still seemed rather calm. After some time, I noticed how Beatrice also calmed down. Having full faith in that I knew a way to get around the detection devices.
I had entered both of their minds so that I could see how I could possibly be detected. And when they were almost at the end of the tunnel I suddenly saw how.
Much like in Agartha there were crystals ambled all over the walls. These would sine red as soon as something demonic came close.
The crystals that were in the tunnel itself were rather weak. It could not detect me looking through the eyes of both Noah and Beatrice. Nor did it recognise them as followers. As lang as they did not come close. My theory was proven right when I asked Noah to touch one of them when no one was looking. And indeed, the crystal lit up.
However, those at the gate were much more refined.
They were much bigger and clearer. The guards that were stationed there were in charge of looking out at the hallway to make sure that nothing demonic came in. and if it did, then they had to report that immediately.
Seeing this I opened the first gate that led into the tunnel and followed after them. I ordered Noah and Beatrice to stay away from the gate until I came close.
Walking through the tunnel, I used illusions to mask the vermilion light that the crystals immitted when I passed them.
The only thing that I was no able to hide were my footsteps as I made my way to the gate. All I could do was try to make as little sound as possible and hope that no one would notice me.
The guards still did not know that I was approaching. And as soon as the captain wanted to lead the group through the gates I used as much of my illusions as I could to hide the warning signs and myself.
I could not afford to make exceptions to lower the risk that I would mess up. So, I even used it on Noah and Beatrice.
They had no idea what I was doing as I stopped speaking to them in order to fully concentrate. For them, if only they could not feel my pressure in their mind, it was like I completely disappeared. When the time came that they had no other choice but to pass through the gates their faces were completely pale.
But when they walked through the gate, nothing happened. No bright red light, no panicking civilians, no screaming guards.
They let out a sigh in relief. Knowing that my plan had succeeded.
Right when the gate was about to close again, I slipped through and hid in a corner.
Now that I had made it in without causing panic, I took the time to analyse my surroundings.
In front of me was a giant green plain. Elegant white buildings with intertwining pillars and decorations. Flying metal carriages that were light up with blue crystals that were so strong that I could feel their magic from all the way on the ground. There were high trees that almost ripped open the sky. Or at least if there was one. There were no clouds, no stars, not even a sun or a moon. All that surrounded this landscape was water. It was as if one looked into the ocean itself . but not from above. But from within.
Statues as tall as the trees surrounded the land and held tablets with strange symbols, presumably hinting at the power source.
I immediately realised that even though I was now strong enough to bypass their security. If I ever were to attack or make myself known in any other way. They would have means to kill me on the spot.
This place was truly worthy of being the last safe haven of this world.
