It didn't take long for her to calm down. And when she did, I let go of her and stepped away.
I did take her sword and handed it to the dwarf so that she wouldn't be as dangerous in her next outburst.
I still wanted to bite her hand off, but I knew that, that wouldn't be a good idea.
While I was considering if I would or would not risk it; I heard her mutter under her breath.
"Tell us what they are doing."
I sighed and wiped some of my own blood from my shoulders.
"I already told you that I don't know anything. If you tell me what's going on, I can give you my opinion at most."
The elf that helped her stand up had to hold her back now as she was planning on going on a rampage again.
I looked at the scene before me with a little amusement. ("But if she just keeps screaming like this nothing will happen, and this would be nothing but a complete waste of time.")
I shifted my gaze to the elf.
"The human seems incapable of proper communication right now . why don't you tell me what is going on in the east?"
He hesitated for a moment, wondering if this was all part of my evil scheme or not. After a few seconds he made up his mind.
"We don't know yet. That's why we thought that you could provide us with some information. The only knowledge that we possess at the moment is that there are a lot of demons spotted in the east and their numbers are growing."
The elf looked miserable. Not only was he ashamed of the behaviour of his colleague, but he failed so miserably that instead of gaining some information he had to hand some over just to get my idea. of which he had no way of knowing if I was telling the truth or not.
I grinned. Proud of my accomplishment to punch him that far. It truly was amusing. So, I decided to be honest. Not only to repay my entertainment but also to, in a way, help my friends and the dwarf. Afterall this was their home, so I would do my best to protect it for them.
"The east you said right? If I'm not wrong, there is a gigantic dessert there due to the wind coming from this direction and not being able to carry the rain over the mountains. I guess they picked that place because it resembles hell with its dry broken land. They are familiar with that type of terrain, so they know the best ways to defend that land until more of their own have arrived. When they have enough forces, they will probably land a large-scale attack. there also must be a really strong demon there to keep the others from killing each other. I advise you to kill that one and the possible successor. But if there are more than one who can possibly lead those demons. Leave them alive, make them kill their own."
The elf nodded when he heard what I had to say. But before he could give any comments I spoke again.
"There is a chance that there will be to many demons defending the place to assassinate the leader. The best thing you can do is sneaking in. I recommend using no holy forces such as priest since they will know immediately. But make sure that they do carry holy items, just hide those until the time comes."
"But… can't you go? A demon can most certainly kill another demon."
I shook my head. "No of course I can't. they did not call for me nor would they recognise me. it is for a demon a lot harder to hide from another demon."
The dwarf laughed in the background.
I turned and raised an eyebrow at him. "What?"
"No, it's nothing. Just that your strategy is exactly the same as the last one."
"Well of course you can send a massive attack that would wipe them away now that their numbers are still small. But then you would be wasting more resources than what is actually necessary. Or if you really like it you could make a false base near their lair and attack them once they split up to either grow their numbers or attack that false base. It's just that I like the first strategy more."
"How could I have ever doubted your planning?!" The dwarf spoke in a sarcastic tone, to which I rolled my eyes.
"How can you be so casual with this monster?" The woman who just calmed down asked the dwarf furiously. Despite her words she seemed like she would not randomly attack others again, so I let it slip by.
But she didn't stop. "I mean, just how foolish can you be?"
I sighed. "You really want to lose your hand that bad?"
"See! This is exactly what I mean."
The dwarf looked at her with a confused gaze. Wondering how one of the leaders of the stone city could be this stupid. Or maybe she was just blinded by her rage and trust issues. But non the les it did not make much sense to the dwarf.
"Isn't the fact that he wants to bite your hand off yet doesn't proving wrong what you just said? because he could have done that a while ago."
The woman didn't respond after that. But her face was still red from anger.
I had lost my interest in the small drama here and wanted to go back to the people I considered friends now.
I shot I quick glance at the dwarf who was now childishly playing with is beard.
"I have nothing else to say. Can we go now?"
The dwarf shrugged and walked to the door.
"Wait you are just going to leave like that?" The woman cried out.
"Yes, why not?" The dwarf boldly answered with a smug on his face.
