Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2: Bad weather

Time seemed to have lost its meaning as a silvery, scaled creature with long horns on its head and running down its spine entered my line of sight. It walked on two legs but judging from its build, it should be able to walk on all six of them.

At the beginning I did not even realise that it was speaking. It just spoke in such an unnatural way. But after some time, I could even make out the words that I couldn't hear before. Although it was distorted like an echo.

"It seems like you fulfilled your promise."

"Yes, yes I did." My sister replied with a soft voice.

The creature seemed greatly amused by her reply, as it showed his fangs in a grin as distorted as its voice.

I stood there, unable to even breathe. Paralysed by the great pressure this being released.

"You see I am trapped in this place. so, I just needed someone to bring you here. Its amazing wat humans do under a bit of pressure!"

The creature that was more than twice as tall as me now stared directly in my eyes. I was Shure that at that moment my hart stopped beating. Then it looked at my sister again and gave a light chuckle. Which wasn't any better than being stared at by this creature.

I could not see her face, but I could see how deep she had sunken in despair deducing from her posture. But it only lasted for a split second, before se regained her usual calmness

It was now slowly walking towards me. The sound of footsteps it created could only be linked to the sound of the clock of death, ticking away your lifetime.

I started hyper ventilating and fell backwards. But I was unable to notice the pain because of the extreme fear I felt. using all the power in my body, I tried to crawl away. But my efforts were in vain and the hellish creature soon caught up.

It grabbed me by my neck and lifted me from the ground. I struggled and kicked in pure panic. But it did nothing but amuse the creature only further. It adjusted its inescapable grasp in a fluent motion, now holding me by my arms.

"What an unusual expression of fear. I wold have loved to feast on it. And if the supreme being didn't order me not to kill you right away, I wold have had the meal of my life. So, consider yourself lucky and stop struggling." The creature muttered in an annoyed yet exited tone.

These words didn't set me at ease at al. since now I knew that there was an even worse creature out there.

The creature looked at me whit its eyes as dark as a starless night sky. Its mere gaze seemed to pierce the very being of my soul. I knew then that this was true power. If it was not for the fact that it was held in this place, I believe nothing from this word would be able to stop it.

It just answered my fearful gaze wit a wide smirk. Then it used its other 'hands' to draw a circle on my chest with various lines intertwined towards the middle of it, using my blood as ink.

When the circle appeared to be ready, a wave of burning energy was released from it. This sealed the wound in a rather painful prosses.

When it was completely healed and black scar tissue was formed on the former wound, the being carefully inspected it. It seamed pleased and threw me back on the ground.

"I hope the lord is pleased even if this doesn't work out. I would hate to go touch al that trouble again. What a pain in the ass!" the being softly mumbled.

In the meantime, I was lying on the ground shivering in pain. It felt like the mark was burning me from the inside, despite being placed on the outside. I could not move, not breathe, not even think. Everything around me was a blur of colours and echoes.

For as far as I could make out, was my sister once again being approached by the monster. I tried to listen to their conversation was saying, but now everything was distorted, and I could only identify a few words.

" …. Would make sure …. ..th won't happen, won't you?"

"fuc... You!"

She set a few steps back. Although for some weird reason she didn't seem scared. Just, angry?

Why wasn't she scared. This was so like her. She was never scared.

Then something seemed to snap, like she suddenly remembered something. She berated in and out a few times, tears once again she looked at me, tears running down her face. I could now no longer make out her words, but she seemed to say.

"goodbye."

The monster was shocked and was yelling something. But I also cadent hear its words.

Then there was a crash. Speeding rocks, threes and mud came flowing through the roof and windows, ripping everything they came in contact with apart. It did not take long before even the thick castle walls, who where already falling apart due to decenniums of abuse. Then everything went black.

("She was right the weather did get worse,")
