"You what?" he asked after a long time of being stunned.
I looked at him in quite disbelief. "I said let's go travel the world?"
"No," he chuckled. "It was more like an exclamation, not asking you to repeat yourself,"
I can't believe this guy. "Talking back now, huh?" I earned a deep bark of laughter from him.
I don't know why he's prolonging this. I would understand if he's against my idea but before I could even know he's final say, I needed to wait for him finish his reaction but I was impatient.
I have already set this purpose in mind: to find meaning to my messed-up life and to make up for the time Lucas and I had lost from all those convincing and arguing sessions. And maybe because I wanted to forget and do what they always told me to do—to stand up and move forward.
"No, baby. I wasn't expecting you would say that," he kissed my forehead as he guided me upstairs.
"But why? Aren't you happy that I did ask you that?"
