Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Classroom

I shouldn't have done that. I mean, I have two choices laid in front of me. Back then, I always thought that one of those choices would be a regret. But I have come to realize that either you choose option one or two, you'll still end up blaming yourself for not choosing the other.

It has always been like that, I believe. Because regret, can either come sooner or later-- and haven't always been a never.

Though, I just hoped to change my own beliefs. I want to come a time where I will make a choice and a decision that I will never, ever regret.

I am already half running here, at the corridors of God-knows-what-building this is at my new school. I can feel my sweat dripping from my forehead and I'm already late for my first day.

I now regret not coming with my brother here when he enrolled me. Now I don't know where my room is located.

Why am I transferred in a new school, anyways?

First of all, I haven't had the slightest idea. Maybe because my friends from my old school had decided to go to a new one since we already graduated from junior high school.

Now that I am a senior, my brother wants me to study here, where they graduated as well.

Because I'm busy running around, I didn't notice what's or who's ahead of me. I bumped into a guy. A very tall and muscular guy.

But that's not all. What's worse is that the papers that I'm holding fell and scattered in the ground.

Oh no! Those are my schedule and the documents my brother, Jedric asked me to submit in the faculty!

Great! Now my time is really wasted. I am vey late and still need to pick these up.

I immediately knelt to gather the papers with trembling hands. Good thing I am wearing pants today so I would be more comfortable doing so.

As a stupid cliche, like what I've read from love novels and seen from romance movies, the guy who I collided with helped me with my mess.

My heart is racing so fast and my whole bodly is slightly shaking from the frustration I am feeling right now.

"Hell," I muttered quietly as tears started to form at the corner of my eye.

I heard the guy chuckled but I was too daunted to even care about it. Though I became hot headed with it.

Once I was done, I quickly stood up as the guy did too. I accepted the papers he handed me and said my thanks as I looked up to see his face.

My eyes met a beautiful pair of gray orbs and for a moment, I was stunned.

He has a slightly messy brown hair and a perfect arched eyebrows. Almond-shaped eyes, pointy nose, plump li-

I shaked my head. "Enough, Jiana. There's no time to drool over this hot guy," I told myself.

I shrugged that thought and just wrinkled my forehead to divert my attention.

"We're sorry, Miss. But it's your fault for not looking where you're going," the guy said. I was taken aback about how arrogant he sounded like.

I smiled at him sarcastically. "Am I? Well then, if your saw me in a hurry, you didn't even mind to avoid." Arrogant," I whispered the last word with gritted teeth.

I watched him laugh as he looked at his wrist watch. "Running late, are we?" He asked.

No, I am not late. I just like running around here like an idiot. God, why is common sense not so anymore common. I fought the urge to roll my eyes at him.

But I guess I have no choice but to ask him where my classroom is located.

I ignored his last question and asked him instead, "Where can I find this building?" I pointed him the room number stated in my schedule paper.

His forehead wrinkled. "Senior High student?" he asked. "You're going the wrong way, missy. Come with us, I'm going that way too,"

My eyes became suspicious at the mention 'missy'.

"Whatever," I shrugged my doubts off and decided to follow him instead.

He proceeded walking as I followed him from behind as I examine his built, now that he's not looking at me.

He has fair sking and broody look. He's tall and handsome, as I said earlier. The simple blue polo shirt he's wearing fits perfectly. But one look at his smile, you'll already assume that he's up to no good.

I am in deep thoughts about this hunk when he suddenly turned his face on me.

I suddenly raised my both arms to keep me from bumping on him again. Uhhh?

"Are you new here, by the way?" he sked me curiously.

"Yes I am," I gave him an awkward smile at that.

His stared lingered on me for a while. In seconds, I am already getting creeped out. Especially now that it dawned to me that we are in a darker part of the building.

Why are we here?! I am already panicking as my overactive imagination is getting into me. Should I be worried?! Should I run now?!

I took a few steps back from him so it's easy for me to run later. I don't want to be negative and think ill of this guy but hey, looks can be deceiving, you know.

"Uhhh, I think I should go on my own way," I scrathed my nape as I look behind me, ready to walk out.

I then noticed that he was about to open a gate when I said that. He looked at me with confused eyes.

"Your classroom is this way," he said as he opened the gate. Behind it is the stairs and a path way to the right where you can see a mini cafeteria. I can also see a building adjacent to it and another one at my north. Actually, there are buildings everywhere I look.

Oh.

"Just go ahead. The yellow building infront on the first floor, count three doors and that's your room," he told me.

Oh God, sorry for judging him.

I smiled at him guiltily as I nodded. I was walking down the stairs when I suddenly remembered something.

"Uhh, I thought you're heading that way too?" I asked him with me small voice.

I saw him look at me with awe as he smirked.

"Changed my mind. I'm going somewhere first. I forgot I had an errand to do at the school gym," he said.

I nodded at him shyly and proceeded to walking again towards my classroom.

I can still feel his stares at my back so I can't walk properly. My hands are also slightly shaking and I can't help but to curse myself.

"Damn it. Why am I trembling?" I closed my eyes tightly.
